Installation
These LED recessed downlights are designed for simple retrofit installation into existing 5-inch or 6-inch recessed housing cans with C-clips. No additional accessories are typically required.
Pre-Installation
- Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker before starting.
- Remove the existing bulb and trim from the recessed can.
- Inspect the recessed can for any damage or debris.
Step-by-Step Installation
- Connect the Adapter: Screw the E26 Standard Base Adapter into the existing light socket within the recessed can.
- Secure the Connection: Connect the TP26 connector from the downlight to the adapter. Ensure a secure connection.
- Prepare the Springs: Gently pinch the adjustable springs on the downlight to compress them. Do not press hard on the spring.
- Insert into Can: Carefully insert the downlight into the recessed can, aligning the compressed springs with the C-clips inside the can.
- Release Springs: Once aligned, release the springs. They will expand and firmly hold the downlight in place against the ceiling.
- Final Adjustment: Gently push the downlight up until it sits flush with the ceiling.
Operating Instructions
