4. Setup and Installation

4.1. Camera Installation

  1. Mounting: The camera holder can be attached directly to the top of the license plate using the provided 3M adhesive, offering a drilling-free installation.
  2. Power Connection: Connect the camera's red power wire to the vehicle's reversing (backup) light positive wire (12-24V). Connect the black wire to a ground (GND) point or an iron part of the vehicle chassis. Use a test pencil or multimeter to identify the reversing light wire.

4.2. Monitor Installation

  1. Mounting: The monitor can be mounted on the windshield or dashboard using the provided car monitor bracket.
  2. Power Connection: Power the monitor using the car charger, plugging it into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket (DC 12-24V). The car charger includes an additional USB port for charging other devices.

5. Operation

5.1. Basic Functionality

  • Once the camera is powered by the reversing light and the monitor is powered via the car charger, the system will automatically activate when the vehicle is put into reverse.
  • The monitor will display the live feed from the backup camera.

5.2. Adjusting Parking Guidelines

  • The system offers six different styles of parking guidelines.
  • Refer to the monitor's on-screen menu or physical buttons (if available) to cycle through guideline styles or to disable them.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the camera lens and monitor screen with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Cable Inspection: Periodically check all cables and connections for wear, damage, or loose fittings.
