Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the airpot and all packaging materials. Retain packaging for future transport if needed.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the interior of the airpot. Fill with water to the MAX line, boil, and then discard the water. Repeat this process 2-3 times to remove any manufacturing residues.
- Placement: Place the airpot on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from walls or other appliances to allow for proper ventilation, especially around the steam vent.
- Power Connection: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a grounded 220V AC outlet.
Operating Instructions
Filling the Airpot
- Open the lid.
- Fill the stainless steel inner pot with fresh water. Do not exceed the 'MAX' fill line.
- Close the lid securely.
Boiling Water
- Plug in the airpot. The 'BOILING' indicator light will illuminate, and the boiling process will begin automatically.
- Once boiling is complete, the airpot will automatically switch to 'KEEP WARM' mode, and the corresponding indicator light will turn on.
Re-Boiling
- If the water temperature has dropped and you wish to re-boil, press the 'RE-BOILING' button on the control panel. The airpot will re-boil the water.
Dispensing Water
The MISTRAL MAP406 offers two dispensing options:
- Touch Cup Switch Dispensing: Place your cup under the dispenser spout and press the 'DISPENSE' button. Water will flow until the button is released.
- Manual Dispensing: For manual dispensing, ensure the airpot is unplugged. Press the manual pump button on the lid repeatedly to dispense water.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your airpot.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
- Interior Cleaning (Descaling): Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up. To descale, fill the airpot with a solution of water and white vinegar (1:1 ratio) or a commercial descaling agent. Boil the solution, let it sit for an hour, then discard. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water several times.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, ensure the airpot is clean, dry, and stored in a cool, dry place.
