Operating Instructions
Ensure the machine is plugged in and the water tank is filled before operation.
Making Espresso
- Prepare Portafilter: Insert the desired filter (single or double) into the portafilter. Add ground coffee using the measuring spoon. For a single shot, use one level spoon; for a double, use two.
- Tamp Coffee: Use the tamper end of the measuring spoon to press the coffee grounds firmly and evenly. Wipe any excess coffee from the rim of the filter.
- Attach Portafilter: Align the portafilter with the group head on the machine (refer to Figure 2). Insert it and turn it firmly to the right until it is securely locked.
- Place Cup: Place one or two espresso cups on the drip tray directly under the portafilter spouts. You can use the cup warmer tray on top of the machine to pre-heat your cups.
- Brew Coffee: Press the "Single Espresso" or "Double Espresso" button on the control panel (refer to Figure 5). The machine will automatically brew the coffee and stop when the pre-set volume is reached.
- Remove Portafilter: Once brewing is complete, carefully remove the portafilter by turning it to the left. Dispose of the used coffee grounds.
Making Cappuccino or Latte
This machine features an Instantcappuccino system for automatic milk frothing.

- Fill Milk Reservoir: Ensure the milk reservoir is filled with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy).
- Place Cup: Place a larger cup or mug under the coffee and milk spouts.
- Brew Beverage: Press the "Cappuccino" or "Latte" button on the control panel (refer to Figure 5). The machine will first brew the espresso, then automatically froth and dispense milk into your cup.
- Adjust Milk Foam (if applicable): Some models allow adjustment of milk foam consistency via a dial on the milk reservoir. Adjust to your preference.
Customizing Drink Volume (CustomCoffee System)
The CustomCoffee system allows you to program your preferred coffee or milk volume:
- Enter Programming Mode: With the machine ready, press and hold the desired coffee button (e.g., Single Espresso, Cappuccino) for a few seconds until the button starts blinking rapidly.
- Dispense Desired Volume: The machine will start dispensing. Release the button when your desired volume of coffee or milk is reached. The machine will save this setting for future use.
- Repeat for Other Buttons: You can program each coffee button individually.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your machine.
Daily Cleaning
- Drip Tray: Empty and rinse the removable drip tray after each use or when the indicator floats up.
- Portafilter and Filters: After each use, remove the portafilter, discard coffee grounds, and rinse the portafilter and filter under running water.
- Milk System (after milk use):
- After preparing a milk-based drink, place an empty cup under the milk spout.
- Press the "Clean" button (often represented by a water droplet icon, refer to Figure 5) to purge the milk system with hot water/steam. This prevents milk residue buildup.
- The milk reservoir can be detached and stored in the refrigerator with milk inside. For thorough cleaning, disassemble the milk reservoir components and wash with warm soapy water.
Weekly / Bi-Weekly Cleaning
- Water Tank: Remove and clean the water tank with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly to prevent mineral buildup.
- Machine Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Descaling
Descaling is crucial to remove mineral deposits and maintain machine performance. The frequency depends on water hardness and usage, but generally every 2-3 months.
- Use a commercially available descaling solution suitable for coffee machines. Follow the descaling solution manufacturer's instructions carefully.
- Fill the water tank with the descaling solution mixed with water as per instructions.
- Place a large container under the coffee and milk spouts.
- Run the descaling solution through the machine by activating the brewing and milk frothing functions until the tank is empty.
- Rinse the water tank thoroughly and fill with fresh water. Run several cycles of fresh water through the machine to flush out any remaining descaling solution.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No coffee dispenses. | Water tank empty; machine not heated; clogged filter/spout. | Fill water tank; wait for machine to heat; clean portafilter/spouts. |
| Coffee is too weak or watery. | Insufficient coffee grounds; coffee too coarse; machine needs descaling. | Increase coffee amount; use finer grind; descale the machine. |
| Milk not frothing properly. | Milk reservoir empty; milk too warm; milk system clogged. | Fill milk reservoir with cold milk; clean milk system thoroughly. |
| Machine is leaking. | Drip tray full; water tank not seated correctly; seal issue. | Empty drip tray; re-seat water tank; contact support if leak persists. |
| Machine not turning on. | Not plugged in; power outlet issue. | Check power cord connection; try a different outlet. |
