1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the safe and efficient use of your Sunny-room Battery Charger. This charger is designed to power various Sony camcorder batteries, including models NP-FM30, NP-FM50, NP-FM51, NP-FM70, NP-FM71, NP-FM90, NP-FM91, NP-QM50, NP-QM51, NP-QM70, NP-QM71, NP-QM71D, NP-QM90, NP-QM91, and NP-QM91D, commonly used with Sony DCR-TRV280, DCR-TRV380, and DCR-TRV480 Handycam camcorders.

2. Package Contents

Verify that all items listed below are included in your package:

• 1x Wall Charger Unit: The main charging unit with a fold-out US wall plug. (Battery not included)
• 1x Car Charger Cable: For charging in a vehicle's 12V DC outlet.

3. Setup

Before charging, ensure the battery is compatible with the charger. This charger is designed for specific Sony NP-F/NP-QM series batteries. Do not attempt to charge incompatible batteries.

3.1. Connecting to Power

The charger offers two power input options:

• AC Wall Outlet: Fold out the US wall plug from the charger unit and insert it directly into a standard AC 100V-240V wall outlet.
• DC Car Outlet: Connect the provided car charger cable to the DC input port on the side of the charger unit. Then, insert the other end of the car charger cable into your vehicle's 12V DC accessory outlet (cigarette lighter socket).

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Charging a Battery

1. Connect to Power: Ensure the charger is properly connected to either an AC wall outlet or a 12V DC car outlet as described in Section 3.1.
2. Insert Battery: Carefully align the battery with the charging contacts in the charger slot. Ensure the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals of the battery match the corresponding contacts in the charger. Gently push the battery into the slot until it is securely seated.
3. Monitor Charging Status: The LED indicator on the charger will illuminate to show the charging status:
   • Red LED: Indicates that the battery is currently charging.
   • Green LED: Indicates that the battery is fully charged.
4. Remove Battery: Once the LED indicator turns green, the battery is fully charged. Carefully remove the battery from the charger. Disconnect the charger from the power source when not in use.

Note: The charger only charges the battery; it cannot directly charge the camera or camcorder. Charging time typically ranges from 1 to 4 hours, depending on the battery's capacity and discharge level.

5. Maintenance

• Keep the charger clean and dry. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior.
