Setup (Installation)

This section outlines the steps required to install the Evotech Performance Fender Eliminator on your Suzuki Gladius (SFV650).

Tools Required:

• Socket Wrench Set

• Zip Ties (optional, for cable management)
• Threadlocker (medium strength, recommended)

Installation Steps:

1. 1. Prepare the Motorcycle:

   Park your Suzuki Gladius on a stable surface, preferably on a rear stand. Ensure the engine is cool. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to prevent accidental electrical shorts.

2. 2. Remove the Stock Fender:

   Locate and remove the bolts securing the stock rear fender assembly. Carefully disconnect any wiring for the stock license plate light and turn signals. Note the routing of these wires for re-connection. Gently pull the stock fender away from the motorcycle.

3. 3. Mount the Main Bracket:

   Position the Evotech Performance main mounting bracket onto the motorcycle's subframe, aligning it with the factory mounting points. Secure it using the provided fasteners. Apply a small amount of medium-strength threadlocker to the bolts before tightening them to the manufacturer's recommended torque specifications (if available, otherwise hand-tight plus a quarter turn).

4. 4. Install License Plate Bracket and LED Light:

   Attach the license plate bracket to the main mounting bracket using the supplied hardware. The integrated LED license plate light is typically pre-installed or easily attaches to the main bracket. 5. 5. Wire the LED License Plate Light:

   Connect the wiring for the new LED license plate light to the motorcycle's existing license plate light wiring. This usually involves splicing the wires. Ensure correct polarity (positive to positive, negative to negative). Use appropriate electrical connectors (e.g., crimp connectors, solder and heat shrink) to ensure a secure and weather-resistant connection. Route the wires neatly and secure them with zip ties to prevent chafing or interference with moving parts.

6. 6. Reconnect Turn Signals (Optional/If Applicable):

   If your kit includes provisions for aftermarket turn signals or allows re-use of stock signals, mount them to the designated points on the new bracket. Connect their wiring to the motorcycle's turn signal harness. Test all lights before proceeding.

7. 7. Attach License Plate:

   Mount your license plate to the new bracket using appropriate hardware. Ensure it is securely fastened and clearly visible.

   Reconnect the battery's negative terminal. Test the license plate light, brake light (if integrated), and turn signals to ensure they function correctly. Double-check all fasteners for tightness. Ensure no wires are pinched or exposed. Take the motorcycle for a short, slow test ride to confirm stability and proper function.
