Setup

1. Unpacking the Device

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure you have the Nokia 106 Dual SIM phone and the included battery.

2. Inserting the SIM Card(s) and Battery

  1. Turn off the phone and disconnect any charger.
  2. Remove the back cover by gently prying it open from the notch at the bottom.
  3. If the battery is inserted, remove it.
  4. Locate the SIM card slots. The Nokia 106 supports two SIM cards. Insert the SIM card(s) into the designated slots with the gold contacts facing down, ensuring they click into place.
  5. Insert the battery into its compartment, aligning the gold contacts on the battery with those in the phone.
  6. Replace the back cover, pressing firmly until it snaps into place.

3. Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the battery. Connect the micro USB charger cable to the phone's charging port and plug the other end into a power outlet. The battery indicator on the screen will show charging progress.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power/End Call key (red button) until the phone vibrates and the screen lights up.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power/End Call key until the power off options appear, then select "Power off".

2. Basic Navigation

Use the navigation keys (up, down, left, right) to scroll through menus and options. The center key acts as a "Select" or "OK" button. The left and right soft keys perform functions indicated on the screen directly above them.

3. Making and Receiving Calls

  • To Make a Call: Enter the phone number using the keypad and press the Call key (green button).
  • To Answer a Call: Press the Call key when the phone rings.
  • To End a Call: Press the Power/End Call key.

4. Sending and Receiving Messages

Navigate to the "Messages" menu. Select "Create message" to compose a new SMS. Enter the recipient's number and your message. Press "Send".

5. Using the LED Flashlight

To turn the flashlight on or off, typically press and hold the 'Up' navigation key or access it through the "Tools" or "Applications" menu.

6. Using the FM Radio

Connect a 3.5mm headset (not included) to the phone's audio jack. Navigate to the "FM Radio" application. The headset acts as an antenna. You can then scan for available stations.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the phone's surface. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: Store the phone in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: Do not expose the battery to extreme temperatures or dispose of it in fire. Recycle batteries according to local regulations.
  • Water Resistance: The Nokia 106 Dual SIM is not water-resistant. Avoid exposure to liquids.

Troubleshooting
