The device features a prominent 1.8-inch LED display on the front, showing the current time. On the top, you will find various control buttons for setting time, alarms, radio functions, and adjusting the projection. The projector lens is located on the top-rear, designed to rotate 180 degrees for flexible time projection.

Setup

Power Connection

  1. Unpack the Memorex MC0952 and its power cord.
  2. Insert the power cord into the DC input jack on the back of the unit.
  3. Plug the other end of the power cord into a standard AC wall outlet (120V, 60Hz).
  4. The LED display will illuminate, indicating the unit is powered on.

Battery Backup (Optional)

While the unit operates on AC power, it may have a battery backup compartment (batteries not included) to maintain time settings during power outages. Refer to the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the unit for battery type and installation instructions.

Operating Instructions

Setting the Time

  1. Press and hold the TIME SET button (refer to Figure 2 for button location). The hour digits will begin to flash.
  2. Press the HOUR button repeatedly to adjust the hour. Note the AM/PM indicator.
  3. Press the MINUTE button repeatedly to adjust the minute.
  4. Press the TIME SET button again to confirm and exit time setting mode.

Using the Dimmer Function

The 1.8-inch LED display features a 3-level dimmer. Press the DIMMER button (usually located near the time display) to cycle through High, Medium, and Low brightness settings.

Radio Operation (AM/FM)

  1. Press the RADIO ON/OFF button to turn the radio on.
  2. Press the BAND button to select between AM and FM bands.
  3. Use the TUNE + or TUNE - buttons to manually tune to a desired station. Press and hold to auto-scan for the next available station.
  4. To set a preset station:
    1. Tune to the desired station.
    2. Press the PRESET button. The preset number will flash.
    3. Use the PRESET + or PRESET - buttons to select the desired preset number.
    4. Press PRESET again to save.
  5. Adjust volume using the VOLUME + or VOLUME - buttons.

Setting and Using the Alarm

  1. Press and hold the ALARM SET button. The alarm hour digits will flash.
  2. Use the HOUR and MINUTE buttons to set the desired alarm time.
  3. Press ALARM SET again. The alarm source (Buzzer or Radio) will flash.
  4. Use the ALARM MODE button to select your desired alarm source.
  5. Press ALARM SET to confirm.
  6. When the alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE/SLEEP button to temporarily silence it for a few minutes.
  7. To turn off the alarm completely, press the ALARM OFF button.

Using the Projection Feature

The Memorex MC0952 can project the time onto a wall or ceiling.

  1. Locate the projector lens on the top-rear of the unit (refer to Figure 2).
  2. Rotate the lens 180 degrees to direct the projected time to your desired surface.
  3. Adjust the focus wheel on the projector lens until the projected time is clear and sharp.
  4. To turn the projection on or off, locate the PROJECTION ON/OFF switch or button, typically near the lens.

Maintenance

Cleaning

  • Always unplug the unit from the power outlet before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces.
  • For stubborn marks, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
  • Avoid getting moisture into any openings.

Storage

If you plan to store the unit for an extended period, unplug it from the power source and remove any backup batteries. Store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting
