Product Overview

Setup and Initial Use

This replacement remote control is designed for quick setup with no programming needed for most compatible devices. Simply install the batteries, and it should be ready to use.

1. Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
2. Slide open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert two (2) AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: Batteries are not included with the remote control and must be purchased separately.

2. Device Compatibility and Code Search (If needed)

While this remote is often ready to use out of the box for many devices, if your device does not respond, you may need to perform a quick code search or manual code entry. Refer to the original device's manual for specific remote codes if available, or use the "CODE SEARCH" button on the remote.

• Press and hold the "CODE SEARCH" button until the indicator light turns on.
• Press the device button you wish to program (e.g., TV, SAT-CBL-DTC, DVD-VCR).
• Point the remote at your device and repeatedly press the "POWER" button until the device turns off.
• Press the "ENTER" button to save the code. The indicator light should turn off.

Button Functions:

• POWER: Turns the selected device on or off.
• TV / SAT-CBL-DTC / DVD-VCR: Selects the device to be controlled. Press the corresponding button before operating that device.

• MUTE: Mutes or unmutes the audio.
• MENU: Accesses the device's on-screen menu.
• GO BACK: Returns to the previous menu or channel.

• Number Buttons (0-9): Used for direct channel entry or menu navigation.
• ENTER: Confirms selections in menus or enters channel numbers.
• REW / PLAY / FWD / REC / PAUSE II / STOP: Controls playback functions for compatible devices like DVD players or VCRs.
• SLEEP: Activates the sleep timer function on compatible devices.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement:

When the remote control's performance degrades or the indicator light does not illuminate, it is time to replace the batteries. Always replace all batteries at the same time with new ones of the same type (AAA). Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.

Cleaning:

To clean the remote control, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, sprays, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the remote's surface or internal components.
