Operating Instructions

General Blending

  1. Add Ingredients: Place ingredients into the blending jar. For best results, add liquids first, followed by soft ingredients, then hard ingredients, and finally ice or frozen items.
  2. Secure Lid: Place the lid firmly onto the blending jar.
  3. Select Cycle or Speed: Use the 11-speed capacitive touch slider to manually adjust speed or select one of the six pre-programmed blend cycles (e.g., smoothies, frozen drinks, hot soups).
  4. Start Blending: Press the start button. The blender will automatically adjust speed and duration for pre-programmed cycles. For manual blending, adjust the slider as needed.
  5. Pulse Function: Use the pulse button for short bursts of high-speed blending to chop ingredients or achieve desired consistency.
  6. Stop Blending: The blender will stop automatically after a pre-programmed cycle. For manual blending, press the stop button.

Using the GO Travel Bottle

The 34 oz GO Travel Bottle allows for single-serve blending. Attach the bottle to the blender base in the same manner as the larger jars. Ensure the lid is securely fastened before blending.

Sound Enclosure Benefits

The integrated sound enclosure significantly reduces blending noise, allowing for quieter operation. Ensure the enclosure is properly closed during blending for optimal performance.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Cleaning the Blending Jar and Lid

  1. Quick Clean: After use, add 1 cup of warm water and a drop of dish soap to the jar. Secure the lid and run the "Clean" cycle or blend on low speed for 5-10 seconds. Rinse thoroughly.
  2. Deep Clean: Jars and lids are dishwasher safe. Place them on the top rack of your dishwasher.
  3. Spoonula Spatula: The Spoonula Spatula is heat-resistant and easy to clean. Wash with warm soapy water or place in the dishwasher.

Cleaning the Motor Base

Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor base in water. Ensure the base is dry before plugging it back in.

Blunt Blade Safety

The Blendtec blender features a blunt blade designed to pulverize ingredients without sharp edges, enhancing safety during cleaning and handling. While blunt, exercise caution when cleaning around the blade area.

Troubleshooting

Blender does not turn on:
Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet. Check if the sound enclosure and jar are correctly seated on the base.
Ingredients are not blending smoothly:
Add more liquid. Use the pulse function to break down larger pieces. Ensure ingredients are added in the recommended order (liquids first). If using the WildSide+ jar, ensure the blunt blade is properly installed.
Blender overheats:
If the blender stops due to overheating, unplug it and allow it to cool down for approximately 20-30 minutes before resuming operation. Avoid continuous blending for extended periods with very thick mixtures.
Loud noise during operation:
Ensure the sound enclosure is properly closed and sealed. Verify the blending jar is correctly seated on the motor base. Some noise is normal during high-speed blending.
