2. Safety Information
Read all instructions carefully before installation and use. Failure to follow safety guidelines may result in serious injury or damage to the product.
- Always wear a helmet and appropriate safety gear when riding an electric bicycle.
- Ensure all connections are secure and waterproof before riding, especially in wet conditions.
- Regularly inspect your bicycle and conversion kit components for wear, damage, or loose connections.
- Do not attempt to modify the motor or controller. Unauthorized modifications can void the warranty and create safety hazards.
- Be aware of local regulations regarding electric bicycles, including speed limits and power restrictions.
- The kit is designed for a 700C front wheel. Ensure your bicycle is compatible.
3. Setup and Installation
This section outlines the general steps for installing your ebike conversion kit. While the kit is designed for straightforward installation, professional assistance is recommended if you are unsure about any steps.
3.1 Prepare Your Bicycle
- Ensure your bicycle is clean and stable, preferably mounted on a repair stand.
- Remove the existing front wheel from your bicycle.
- Inspect the front fork dropouts to ensure they are compatible with the hub motor axle (10 mm diameter). Steel forks may require filing if the axle does not fit, but exercise caution to avoid damage. Aluminum forks can also be filed with extra caution.

3.2 Install the Front Wheel Hub Motor
- Carefully insert the hub motor wheel into the front fork dropouts.
- Ensure the motor cable exits on the correct side and is not pinched.
- Secure the wheel using the provided nuts and washers. Tighten them firmly to prevent the wheel from shifting during operation.
- Install the torque arm on the axle to prevent it from spinning out of the dropouts under motor power.
3.3 Install the Controller and Wiring
- Mount the controller in a secure and protected location on your bike frame, typically near the battery.
- Connect the motor cable to the controller. The waterproof connectors are designed for easy and secure attachment.
- Route all cables neatly along the frame using the provided cable ties. Ensure cables do not interfere with moving parts (wheels, pedals, steering) or get pinched.
3.4 Install Display, Throttle, and Brake Levers
- Attach the display to your handlebar in a position that is easily visible and accessible.
- Install the throttle on the handlebar.
- Replace your existing brake levers with the provided brake levers, which include motor cut-off sensors. These sensors ensure the motor disengages when brakes are applied, enhancing safety. If you prefer to use your own brakes, the kit will still operate without the provided brake levers.
- Install the Pedal-Assist System (PAS) sensor near the bottom bracket. Ensure the magnet ring is correctly aligned with the sensor for proper function.
3.5 Connect the Battery
- Connect your 36V battery (not included) to the controller. The controller comes with an SY60 male-type battery connector (compatible with XT60 connectors).
- Ensure the battery is securely mounted on the bike frame.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Powering On/Off
- To power on the system, press and hold the power button on the display.
- To power off, press and hold the power button again until the display turns off.
4.2 Using the Display
The display provides real-time information about your ride and allows you to adjust settings. Common information includes speed, battery level, pedal-assist level, and trip distance.
4.3 Pedal-Assist System (PAS)
- The PAS provides motor assistance as you pedal. Use the buttons on the display to select your desired assist level (e.g., 1-5). Higher levels provide more assistance.
4.4 Throttle Operation
- The throttle allows you to engage the motor without pedaling. Twist or press the throttle to activate motor power.
4.5 Brake Lever Function
- If you installed the provided brake levers, they include motor cut-off sensors. Applying the brakes will instantly cut power to the motor, ensuring safe stopping.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your ebike conversion kit.
5.1 General Care
- Keep the motor, controller, and electrical connections clean and free from dirt and debris.
- The kit features waterproof components, allowing for confident riding in various weather conditions. However, avoid submerging the motor or controller in water.
- Regularly check all bolts and fasteners for tightness.
5.2 Motor Care
- The hub motor is largely maintenance-free. Avoid disassembling the motor as it may void the warranty.
- Ensure the motor cable is not damaged or frayed.
5.3 Battery Care (Battery Not Included)
- Refer to your battery manufacturer's instructions for specific charging and maintenance guidelines.
- Always use the charger recommended by your battery manufacturer.
- Store the battery in a cool, dry place when not in use.
