Setup

1. Powering the Unit

The CD-65 can be powered by two (2) 'AA' size batteries (not included) or an optional AC adapter (not included).

• Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the unit. Insert two 'AA' batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment. Close the cover securely.
• AC Adapter (Optional): If using an AC adapter (DC 4.5V, not included), plug it into the DC IN 4.5V jack on the side of the player and then into a standard AC outlet.

2. Connecting Headphones

Plug the included sport stereo earbuds or your preferred 3.5mm stereo headphones into the HEADPHONE jack on the side of the unit. Adjust the volume using the VOLUME control dial.

Operating Instructions

CD/MP3 Playback

1. Loading a Disc: Slide the OPEN switch to open the CD compartment lid. Carefully place a CD or MP3 disc onto the center spindle with the label side facing up. Close the lid firmly until it clicks.
2. Power On/Off: Slide the FUNCTION switch to the CD position to power on the unit and select CD mode. To power off, slide the switch to OFF.
3. Play/Pause: Press the PLAY/PAUSE (►/▮▮) button to start or pause playback.
4. Skip/Search:
   • Press SKIP/SEARCH FORWARD (►►) to skip to the next track.
   • Press SKIP/SEARCH BACKWARD (▮▮) to skip to the beginning of the current track or the previous track.
   • Press and hold SKIP/SEARCH FORWARD (►►) or SKIP/SEARCH BACKWARD (▮▮) to search quickly through the audio.
5. Repeat Play: Press the MODE button repeatedly to cycle through repeat options (e.g., Repeat 1, Repeat All).
6. Intro/Random Play: Use the MODE button to select Intro (plays the first few seconds of each track) or Random (shuffles tracks).
7. Bass Boost: Press the BASS button to activate or deactivate the Bass Boost function for enhanced low-frequency sound.
8. Anti-Skip Protection: The player features 60-second anti-skip protection to prevent audio interruptions during movement.

AM/FM Radio Operation

1. Select Radio Mode: Slide the FUNCTION switch to the RADIO position.
2. Band Selection: Press the BAND button to switch between AM and FM bands.
3. Tuning:
   • Press TUN+ or TUN- to manually tune to a desired frequency.
   • Press and hold TUN+ or TUN- for automatic station scanning.
4. Programmable Memory: The unit allows you to store up to 20 preset stations for each band (AM/FM). Refer to the full owner's manual for detailed programming instructions.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Unit

• Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• For the CD compartment, use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe away dust. Avoid touching the laser lens.

Battery Care
