1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your Elekpia RMT-VB100U replacement Blu-ray remote control. This remote is designed as a direct replacement for the original Sony RMT-VB100U remote and requires no programming.

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

To begin using your remote control, you must install two AAA alkaline batteries (not included).

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
  2. Press down on the tab and slide the cover downwards to open the compartment.
  3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
  4. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

3.2 Initial Use

This remote control is a direct replacement and requires no programming. Once batteries are installed, it is ready for immediate use with your compatible Sony Blu-ray player.

4. Operating Instructions

Point the remote control directly at your Blu-ray player. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the player's infrared sensor.

4.1 Basic Functions

  • OPEN/CLOSE: Opens or closes the disc tray.
  • POWER (I/O): Turns the Blu-ray player on or off.
  • PLAY (►): Starts playback of a disc or selected content.
  • PAUSE (⏸): Pauses playback. Press again to resume.
  • STOP (■): Stops playback.
  • PREV (◀◀): Skips to the previous track/chapter.
  • NEXT (►►): Skips to the next track/chapter.
  • REWIND (◀◀◀): Rewinds playback.
  • FAST FORWARD (►►►): Fast forwards playback.
  • VOL (+/-): Adjusts the volume of the connected audio system (if supported by the player).
  • MUTING: Mutes the audio. Press again to unmute.

  • TOP MENU: Displays the disc's top menu.

4.3 Special Functions

  • NETFLIX: Direct access button for the Netflix streaming service (requires internet connection and subscription on your Blu-ray player).
  • FAVORITE: May provide quick access to a user-defined favorite function or menu.
  • SUBTITLE: Cycles through available subtitle tracks.
  • AUDIO: Cycles through available audio tracks.
  • DISPLAY: Shows disc or player information on screen.
  • Colored Buttons (YELLOW, BLUE, RED, GREEN): These buttons perform specific functions depending on the disc or menu being displayed. Refer to your Blu-ray player's on-screen prompts.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To clean the remote control, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasive cleaners, or chemical solvents, as these may damage the remote's surface or internal components.

5.2 Battery Replacement

Replace the batteries when the remote's response becomes sluggish or stops working. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new AAA alkaline batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
