1. Introduction

3. Installation

3.1 Hardware Installation

  1. Power Off Your Computer: Before beginning, ensure your computer is completely powered off and unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. Open the Computer Case: Remove the side panel of your computer case to access the motherboard.
  3. Locate an Available PCI-E Slot: Find an empty PCI Express slot on your motherboard. The Archer T4E requires a standard PCI-E x1 slot or larger.
  4. Install the Adapter: Carefully insert the Archer T4E adapter into the chosen PCI-E slot. Press down firmly until it is securely seated.
  5. Attach Antennas: Screw the two detachable antennas onto the connectors on the back of the adapter. Adjust their orientation for optimal signal reception.
  6. Close the Computer Case: Replace the side panel and reconnect the power cable.

Note: If your computer case is a mini tower, you may need to replace the standard bracket with the provided low-profile bracket. To do this, unscrew the standard bracket from the adapter and attach the low-profile bracket.

3.2 Driver Installation

  1. Power On Your Computer: Start your computer after hardware installation.
  2. Install Drivers:
    • For Windows 10: In most cases, Windows 10 will automatically detect and install the necessary drivers. If not, proceed to the next step.
    • Using the Resource CD: Insert the provided Resource CD into your computer's CD/DVD drive and follow the on-screen instructions to install the drivers and utility.

4.1 Connecting to a Wi-Fi Network
