    • Connect your audio source (e.g., personal computer, smartphone, television, laptop, tablet) to the Signal In RCA ports (L/R) on the rear panel of the subwoofer.
    • If you are connecting the subwoofer in-line with other speakers, use the Signal Out RCA ports (L/R) to pass the audio signal to your main speakers.
  3. Power Connection: Ensure the power switch is in the 'OFF' position. Connect the power cable to the Power Input on the rear panel and then plug it into a suitable wall outlet.
  4. Initial Power On: Flip the power switch to the 'ON' position. The indicator light should illuminate.

Operating

The Edifier T5 Subwoofer features several controls on its rear panel to fine-tune its performance:

  • Volume Dial: Adjusts the overall output level of the subwoofer. Turn clockwise to increase volume, counter-clockwise to decrease.
  • L.P.F (Low Pass Filter) Dial: This control allows you to set the upper frequency limit for the subwoofer. Frequencies above this setting will be filtered out. Adjust this dial (typically between 30 Hz and 160 Hz) to blend the subwoofer's output seamlessly with your main speakers.
  • Phase Switch (0°/180°): This switch helps to ensure that the subwoofer's sound waves are in phase with your main speakers. Experiment with both settings to find the one that provides the most coherent and impactful bass.
  • Automatic Standby: The T5 Subwoofer is equipped with an automatic standby function that powers down the unit after approximately 30 minutes of inactivity to conserve energy. The subwoofer will automatically reactivate when an audio signal is detected.
