1. Introduction

The WOPET Automatic Pet Feeder is an intelligent feeding system designed to simplify pet care. It allows you to personalize feeding times, portion sizes, and even record a voice message to call your pet for meals. This feeder ensures your pet maintains a regular eating routine, providing peace of mind whether you are at home or away.

Key features include a programmable timer for up to four meals daily, a built-in voice recorder and speaker, and a removable, dishwasher-safe stainless steel bowl for hygiene. It is suitable for dry food only, with specific pellet size requirements.

2. Product Components

3. Setup Guide

1. Unpack and Assemble: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure the removable stainless steel bowl is properly seated within the feeding tray.
2. Power Supply:
   • AC Power: Connect the AC adapter to the feeder's power port and plug it into a wall outlet.
   • Battery Power: For backup or portable use, insert three (3) D-size batteries into the battery compartment located at the bottom of the unit. Ensure correct polarity.
3. Fill the Food Hopper:
   • Press the 'Push to Open Lock' button to release the food lid.
   • Pour dry pet food into the hopper. Ensure the food pellet size ranges from 0.2 to 0.6 inches in diameter for optimal dispensing.
   • Close the food lid securely until it clicks into place.

4. Set Current Time: Refer to the LCD display and control buttons to set the current time. The feeder typically uses a 24-hour (military) time format.

4. Operating Instructions

1. Programming Feeding Schedules:
   • Access the programming menu via the control panel.
   • Set up to four (4) meals per day. For each meal, specify the desired feeding time.
   • Adjust the portion size for each meal. The feeder dispenses food in increments, typically corresponding to a certain volume (e.g., 1 portion = approximately 1 teaspoon). Consult the manual's specific portion chart if available.
2. Recording a Voice Message:
   • Locate the 'Record' button on the control panel.
   • Press and hold the 'Record' button for approximately three seconds to begin recording your message. Speak clearly into the microphone.
   • Release the button to stop recording. Your message will play automatically before each scheduled meal to call your pet.

3. Manual Feeding: If you need to dispense food immediately outside of scheduled times, use the manual feed button (refer to your feeder's specific button layout for 'Manual' or 'Feed Now').

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

• Cleaning the Feeding Tray and Bowl: The removable hygienic feeding tray and stainless steel bowl are dishwasher safe. For best results, wash regularly to prevent food buildup and maintain hygiene. Ensure they are completely dry before reassembling.
• Cleaning the Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the feeder with a soft, damp cloth. Do not submerge the main unit in water.
• Food Hopper Maintenance: Periodically check the food hopper for any residue or dust. Ensure the food remains dry and fresh.
• Food Type and Size: This feeder is designed for dry food only. Ensure the food pellet size is between 0.2 and 0.6 inches (approximately 0.5 to 1.5 cm) in diameter. Larger or irregularly shaped kibble may cause jams.

6. Troubleshooting

• Feeder Not Dispensing Food:
  • Check if the food hopper is empty.
  • Verify that the food pellet size is within the recommended range (0.2-0.6 inches). Larger kibble can cause jams.
  • Inspect the food outlet for any blockages or jammed kibble. Gently clear any obstructions.
  • Ensure the feeder is properly powered (AC adapter connected or batteries are fresh and correctly inserted).
• Voice Message Not Playing/Distorted:
  • Re-record the voice message, ensuring you speak clearly and hold the record button for the full duration.
  • Check battery levels if operating on battery power, as low power can affect speaker performance.
• Display Not Working/Feeder Unresponsive:
  • Ensure the power adapter is securely plugged in or replace batteries with fresh ones.
  • Try resetting the feeder (refer to your specific model's instructions for a reset button or procedure, if available).
• Food Getting Stale: Ensure the food lid is securely closed after refilling. While the feeder is designed to keep food fresh, consider not overfilling the hopper if your pet consumes food slowly.
