6. Operating Instructions
Access Methods:

Figure 3: Illustrates the sequence of operation: touching the keypad, fingerprint recognition, and opening the lock.
A. Fingerprint Recognition:
- Registration: Press the Registration Button on the inner body. Follow the voice prompts or indicator lights to scan your finger multiple times until registered. Up to 100 fingerprints can be stored.
- Unlocking: Place your registered finger firmly on the fingerprint sensor. The lock will unlock if the fingerprint is recognized.
B. Passcode Entry:
- Setting Passcode: Press the Registration Button. Enter your desired 4-digit passcode on the hidden touchscreen keypad, followed by the '*' button. Up to 4 passcodes can be set.
- Unlocking: Touch the keypad area to activate it. Enter your registered passcode, then press the '*' button. The lock will unlock.
Flex Lock Function:
The Flex Lock feature allows you to switch between automatic and manual locking modes. Locate the slide switch inside the inner body. Sliding it to one position enables automatic locking (the door locks automatically after closing), while the other position enables manual locking (the door remains unlocked until manually locked).
Dual Lock Function:
To activate the Dual Lock, press the Double Lock Button on the inner body. This feature provides an additional layer of security, preventing the door from being opened from the outside, even with a valid fingerprint or passcode. It is ideal for times when extra security is desired, such as at night.
Emergency Power Supply:
If the batteries are completely discharged and the lock cannot be operated, you can provide emergency power using a 9V battery or a Micro USB 5-pin cable. Connect the 9V battery to the Emergency Power Terminal or the Micro USB cable to the Micro USB 5-Pin port on the outer body. This will temporarily power the lock, allowing you to enter your fingerprint or passcode to unlock the door.
7. Maintenance
Battery Replacement:
The lock requires 4 AA batteries. When the batteries are running low, the lock will provide a warning through indicator lights or alarm sounds. Replace all four batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation. Always use new, high-quality alkaline AA batteries.
Cleaning:
Clean the lock's surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these can damage the finish or internal components. Regularly wipe the fingerprint sensor to ensure optimal performance.
8. Troubleshooting
- Lock not responding / No power: Check if batteries are inserted correctly and are not depleted. Replace batteries if necessary. Use the emergency power supply feature (9V battery or Micro USB) if batteries are completely dead.
- Fingerprint not recognized: Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Try repositioning your finger on the sensor. If issues persist, re-register your fingerprint. Ensure the sensor is clean.
- Keypad not lighting up / responding: Touch the keypad area firmly to activate it. If it still doesn't respond, check battery levels.
- Lock does not engage/disengage: Check for any obstructions in the door frame or latch area. Ensure the lock is properly aligned with the strike plate. Verify that the Flex Lock mode is set as desired (automatic/manual).
- Alarm sounds continuously: This may indicate a low battery warning or a tamper attempt. Check battery levels first.
- High Temperature Alarm: If the lock sounds an alarm and unlocks automatically, it indicates the internal temperature has risen significantly. This is a safety feature.
