2. Safety Instructions
Always observe basic safety precautions when using electric tools to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury.
- Work Area Safety: Keep your work area clean and well-lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
- Electrical Safety: Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces (e.g., pipes, radiators, ranges, refrigerators). Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions.
- Personal Safety: Always wear eye protection. Use safety glasses, goggles, or a face shield. Wear hearing protection when operating for extended periods. Dress properly; avoid loose clothing or jewelry that can be caught in moving parts.
- Tool Use and Care: Do not force the power tool. Use the correct tool for your application. Disconnect the battery pack from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools.
- Battery Safety: This product is supplied without a battery or charger. Use only VONROC VPower 20V batteries and chargers. Do not short-circuit the battery terminals. Do not expose batteries to heat or fire.

- Slide the battery into the port until it clicks securely into place.
To remove the battery, press the release button(s) on the side of the battery pack and slide it out.
4.2. Bit Installation
The drill/driver features a keyless chuck for quick and easy bit changes.
- Rotate the chuck counter-clockwise until the jaws are open wide enough to insert the desired drill bit or screwdriver bit.
- Insert the bit fully into the chuck.
- Rotate the chuck clockwise to tighten the jaws firmly around the bit. Ensure the bit is centered and secure.

4.3. Adjusting Torque and Speed
Your drill/driver offers precise control for various applications:
- Torque Setting Ring: Rotate the numbered ring behind the chuck to select the desired torque setting (1-21). Lower numbers are for smaller screws and softer materials, while higher numbers are for larger screws and harder materials. The drill icon setting is for drilling applications, providing maximum torque without clutch engagement.
- Speed Selector Switch: Located on top of the drill, this switch allows you to select between two speed ranges. Position '1' is for low speed (high torque), ideal for screwdriving and large diameter drilling. Position '2' is for high speed (low torque), suitable for small diameter drilling.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Basic Operation
- On/Off Switch (Trigger): Press the trigger to start the drill. The speed is variable depending on how far you press the trigger.
- Forward/Reverse Switch: Located above the trigger, this switch controls the direction of rotation. Push it to the left for forward (clockwise) rotation (for drilling and tightening screws) and to the right for reverse (counter-clockwise) rotation (for loosening screws). Center position locks the trigger for safety.
5.2. Drilling Techniques
When drilling, ensure the workpiece is securely clamped. Apply steady, even pressure. For harder materials, use a slower speed and apply cutting fluid if necessary.

5.3. Screwdriving Techniques
Select the appropriate torque setting for the screw size and material. Start with a lower torque setting and increase if the screw is not driving fully. Ensure the screwdriver bit is fully engaged in the screw head to prevent stripping.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your drill/driver.
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe down the tool with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Keep ventilation openings clear of dust and debris.
- Chuck Care: Periodically clean the chuck jaws to ensure proper gripping of bits. Remove any accumulated dust or debris.
- Storage: Store the drill/driver in its included storage bag, in a dry, secure place, out of reach of children. If storing for extended periods, remove the battery pack.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the tool for any signs of damage, loose screws, or worn parts. Do not use a damaged tool.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your drill/driver, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Drill does not start | Battery not charged or not properly inserted; Forward/reverse switch in center (locked) position. | Charge battery and ensure it's securely inserted; Move forward/reverse switch to either forward or reverse position. |
| Bit slips in chuck | Chuck not tightened sufficiently; Bit shank is dirty or damaged. | Tighten chuck firmly; Clean or replace bit. |
| Motor runs but drill does not turn | Clutch engaged (torque setting too low for application). | Increase torque setting or switch to drill mode. |
| Overheating | Prolonged heavy use; Blocked ventilation slots. | Allow tool to cool down; Clear ventilation slots. |
If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact VONROC customer support.
