1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the Nightfox 7X Digital Infrared Night Vision Binoculars (Model NF-110R). This device is designed to provide clear vision in low-light and complete darkness, featuring 7x optical magnification, 2x digital zoom, and the ability to record photos and videos. This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective operation of your device.
2. Safety Information
- Do not look directly at the sun or any bright light source through the device, as this may cause permanent eye damage.
- Keep the device away from water and moisture.
- Avoid dropping or subjecting the device to strong impacts.
- Use only specified AA batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
- Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use.

4. Setup
4.1. Battery Installation
The Nightfox 110R requires 4x AA batteries. Locate the battery compartments on the underside of the device. Insert two new AA alkaline or lithium batteries into each compartment, ensuring the negative side of each battery touches the spring. Close the battery compartment covers securely.

4.2. Micro SD Card Installation
To record photos and videos, a micro SD card (up to 32GB) is required. Locate the micro SD card slot just above the eyepiece. With the gold pins facing downwards, push the micro SD card into the slot until it clicks into place. Push it again to release.

4.3. Neck Strap Attachment
To attach the neck strap, ensure the plastic fastener is right side up. Feed the strap from the outside in through the tether points on each side of the device. Create some slack by pulling the strap upwards in the middle of the plastic fastener, then pull both ends tightly to fix down the strap.
4.4. Mounting Rail Attachment
The device includes a mounting rail compatible with accessories. To attach it, firmly push the mount onto the rail on top of the device until it is fully attached. Then, tighten the screw to hold it in place.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Power On/Off
To turn the device ON, long-press the power button on top of the device until the viewing screen illuminates. To turn the device OFF, long-press the power button again.
5.2. Adjusting Focus
Adjust the image focus by turning the lens at the front of the device until the image appears clear.
5.3. Adjusting IR Brightness
Press the IR button repeatedly to cycle through the seven levels of infrared brightness (IR0 to IR7). Select the appropriate level for your viewing conditions.
5.4. Adjusting Digital Zoom
Press the ZOOM button to magnify the picture by up to 2 times. Keep the button pressed to cycle through the magnification quickly.
5.5. Changing Screen Brightness
Press the Backlight button (sun icon) for a quick way to change the screen brightness. Use the ZOOM and IR buttons to cycle through 15 levels of brightness. Press OK to exit.
5.6. Recording Video
To record footage, navigate to video mode by pressing the MODE button until a small video camera icon appears at the top of the screen. Press OK to start recording (a red dot will appear) and OK again to stop. Videos will save automatically onto the micro SD card.
5.7. Taking Photos
To take a photo, navigate to photo mode by pressing the MODE button until a camera icon appears at the top of the screen. Press OK to capture an image.
5.8. Viewing/Deleting Media
To view recordings, press the MODE button once again to navigate to the gallery (a play icon will appear). Use the ZOOM and IR buttons to scroll through your videos and photos. Press OK to play a video or view a photo. You can also delete individual files or all files from this menu.
5.9. Menu Navigation
To access the menus and settings, use the ZOOM (Up) and IR (Down) buttons to navigate through options. The OK button is used to enter or exit each menu item.
5.10. Date/Time Setting
In the settings menu, select 'Date' or 'Time'. Press the OK button on each option (Year, Month, Day, Hour, Minute, Second) to select it, then use the ZOOM or IR buttons to scroll to the desired number. Enabling the 'Date/Time Tag' option will show a visible timestamp on your videos and photos.
5.11. Downloading Footage to PC/Mac
To download your footage onto a computer, use the provided micro USB cable. The USB port is located above the eyepiece. With the Nightfox turned off, connect the USB cable to the device and then to your computer. On Windows, navigate to your File Explorer. Your photos and videos will appear in a folder for you to import.

6. Maintenance
6.1. Cleaning
Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the lenses and the device body. For stubborn dirt, a slightly dampened cloth can be used. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
6.2. Storage
When not in use for extended periods, remove the batteries to prevent leakage. Store the device in its protective carry case in a cool, dry environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
7. Troubleshooting
- Device not powering on: Ensure batteries are correctly inserted and fully charged.
- Poor image clarity: Adjust the focus ring on the objective lens. Ensure the daytime filter is removed for night use.
- No recording: Check if a micro SD card is inserted and has sufficient free space. Ensure the device is in the correct photo or video mode.
- Flickering image: Adjust the 'Flicker' setting in the menu (60 Hz is recommended for optimal performance).
