Setup Instructions
- Connect Power: Connect the provided power adapter to the "Power socket" on the back of the docking station (Figure 4) and plug it into a power outlet.
- Connect to Computer: Connect the provided USB 2.0 cable from the "USB interface" (Mini USB 2.0) on the back of the docking station (Figure 4) to an available USB port on your computer. Alternatively, for faster data transfer with compatible systems, use an e-SATA cable to connect the "e-SATA" port on the docking station to your computer's e-SATA port.
- Insert Hard Drive:
- For SATA drives (2.5" or 3.5"): Align the SATA connector of your HDD/SSD with the SATA port in the docking station and gently insert the drive vertically into the slot.
- For IDE drives (2.5" or 3.5"): Adjust the IDE connector within the docking station if necessary to match your drive's pin configuration. Carefully align the IDE pins of your drive with the connector and insert the drive vertically. Ensure the 4-pin power connector is also aligned and connected if required by your IDE drive.
Important: Always insert or unplug hard drives vertically to prevent damage to the connectors. Do not replace the hard drive when the product is actively working.

Operating Instructions
Hard Drive Access
Once powered on and connected to your computer, the inserted hard drive(s) should be detected by your operating system. You can then access files, transfer data, or perform disk management tasks as you would with any other external storage device.
- Data Transfer Rate: The USB 2.0 connection supports data transfer rates up to 480MB/s. For optimal speed with SATA drives, utilize the e-SATA connection if your computer supports it.
- Operating System Compatibility: The docking station is compatible with Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10, 11, and Mac OS 10.10 or later. Ensure your disk is formatted appropriately for your operating system (FAT32 and exFAT for Linux and Mac OS; FAT32, exFAT, and NTFS for Windows).
Card Reader Functionality
The integrated card reader supports various memory card formats including XD, TF (Micro SD), MS (Memory Stick Duo/Pro), CF (Compact Flash), and SD cards. Insert one memory card at a time into the corresponding slot on the front panel (Figure 2). The card reader can read only one memory card at a time, up to 64GB capacity.
USB Hub Functionality
The two USB HOST ports on the front panel (Figure 2) function as a USB 2.0 hub, allowing you to connect additional USB devices such as flash drives, keyboards, or mice.
One-Touch Backup (OTB)
The One-Touch Backup (OTB) feature allows for easy copying of data from your computer to an external hard drive. To utilize this function, specific OTB software is required. Please refer to the product guide for information on using the OTB feature and downloading the necessary software. Note that OTB software cannot be installed on macOS and iOS systems.

Figure 7: Device Compatibility. The docking station can connect to various devices including laptops, PCs, TVs, projectors, routers, and supports OTG and DVD drives.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the docking station. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Handling: Handle the docking station and inserted drives with care to prevent physical damage. Avoid dropping or subjecting the device to strong impacts.
- Power Management: Always power off the docking station using the power switch before disconnecting it from the power source or your computer, especially when drives are inserted.
Troubleshooting
- Drive Not Detected:
- Ensure the docking station is powered on and the power adapter is securely connected.
- Verify the USB or e-SATA cable is properly connected to both the docking station and your computer.
- Check if the hard drive is correctly seated in its slot, ensuring proper alignment of connectors (especially for IDE drives, adjust the internal connector if needed).
- Try connecting the docking station to a different USB/e-SATA port on your computer.
- For new drives, ensure they are initialized and formatted in your computer's Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (Mac).
- Slow Data Transfer:
- Ensure you are using a USB 2.0 port on your computer. For faster speeds with SATA drives, use the e-SATA connection if available.
- Large file transfers naturally take longer.
- One-Touch Backup (OTB) Not Working:
- Ensure the OTB software is correctly installed on your Windows PC. Remember, OTB software is not compatible with macOS or iOS.
- Verify the hard drive is properly detected and accessible by your computer.
- Card Reader Issues:
- Ensure only one memory card is inserted at a time.
- Check if the memory card is inserted correctly into the appropriate slot.
- Test with a different memory card to rule out card issues.
