4. Setup

4.1 Mounting

The VEGA Wash projector can be mounted using its integrated bracket. Ensure the mounting surface or truss is capable of supporting the device's weight (refer to specifications). Use appropriate clamps or fasteners (not included) to secure the unit firmly. Always attach a safety cable when suspending the unit overhead.

4.2 Power Connection

Connect the provided power cable to the power input on the rear of the unit (Figure 3.3) and then to a suitable power outlet. Verify that the voltage matches the device's requirements (AC 100-240V, 50/60Hz).

4.3 DMX Connection (Optional)

For external control, connect a DMX controller to the DMX IN port using a standard 3-pin DMX cable. If linking multiple units, connect the DMX OUT of the first unit to the DMX IN of the next, and so on. Terminate the last unit in the chain with a DMX terminator if necessary.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

Once connected to power, the unit will power on. The display on the rear panel (Figure 3.3) will illuminate, indicating the current operating mode or DMX address. To power off, disconnect the unit from the main power supply.

5.2 Menu Navigation

Use the UP, DOWN, and ENTER buttons on the rear panel (Figure 3.3) to navigate through the menu options. The display will show various settings such as DMX address, operating modes (e.g., static color, color change, sound active), and dimmer settings.

  • UP/DOWN: Scroll through menu options or adjust parameter values.
  • ENTER: Select a menu option or confirm a setting.

5.3 DMX Control

Set the DMX address for the unit using the menu. Consult your DMX controller's manual and the VEGA Wash's DMX channel chart (typically found in a separate DMX protocol document or on the manufacturer's website) to control functions such as RGBW intensity, strobe, and master dimmer.

5.4 Standalone Operation

The VEGA Wash can operate without a DMX controller. Use the menu to select built-in programs, static colors, or sound-activated modes. Adjust parameters like speed, brightness, and color selection directly from the unit's control panel.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

Regularly clean the lens and housing with a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a mild glass cleaner applied to the cloth, not directly to the unit. Ensure the unit is powered off and cool before cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

6.2 Storage

When not in use, store the projector in a dry, dust-free environment, preferably in its original packaging or a protective case, to prevent damage.
