2. Setup and Installation

2.2 Installation in Helmet
The LX-B4FM is compatible with various helmet types. Choose the appropriate microphone for your helmet style:
- Boom Microphone: Recommended for open-face or flip-face helmets. Position the microphone close to your mouth for optimal voice pickup.
- Button Microphone: Suitable for full-face helmets. Mount it inside the helmet near the mouth area.

2.3 Charging the Device

2.4 Initial Pairing
To pair the LX-B4FM with your mobile phone or another intercom unit:
- Ensure the LX-B4FM is powered off.
- Press and hold the Power button until the LED indicator flashes red and blue, indicating pairing mode.
- On your mobile phone, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices. Select 'LEXIN B4FM' from the list.
- Once connected, the LED indicator will flash blue slowly.
The LX-B4FM supports universal pairing with most motorcycle headsets, including other LEXIN models (G2P, GTX, G16, MeshCom, Novus) and various other brands.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Power On/Off
- Power On: Press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds until the LED flashes blue.
- Power Off: Press and hold the Power button for approximately 5 seconds until the LED flashes red and then turns off.
3.2 Intercom Communication
The LX-B4FM supports group intercom for up to 10 riders, with optimal performance for groups of 4. The maximum range is 2000 meters (1.2 miles) for a group, and 500 meters for two riders.
- Initiate Intercom: After pairing with other LX-B4FM units, a short press of the Intercom button will initiate a conversation.
- End Intercom: Press the Intercom button again to end the conversation.

3.3 Music Playback and Sharing

- Play/Pause Music: Short press the Multi-function button.

- Answer Call: Short press the Multi-function button.
- End Call: Short press the Multi-function button.
- Reject Call: Press and hold the Multi-function button for 2 seconds.
- Redial Last Number: Double-click the Multi-function button.
- Activate Voice Assistant (Siri/Google Assistant): Press and hold the Multi-function button for 2 seconds (when not on a call).
