Setup and Installation

1. Site Preparation
- Determine the desired mounting height. Elica recommends 24-30 inches above the cooking surface for optimal performance.
- Ensure adequate structural support in the wall for the range hood's weight.
- Verify electrical supply (120V, 60Hz, dedicated circuit recommended).
- Plan ductwork routing. This hood requires a 6-inch round duct.
2. Mounting the Hood
Carefully lift the range hood into position. Mark and drill pilot holes for the mounting screws. Secure the hood to the wall using the provided hardware. Ensure the hood is level before tightening all fasteners.

3. Ducting Connection
Connect the ductwork to the range hood's exhaust outlet. Use aluminum foil tape to seal all duct joints to prevent air leaks. Ensure the duct run is as short and straight as possible for maximum efficiency.
4. Electrical Connection
A qualified electrician should perform the electrical connection. Connect the range hood to a grounded 120V, 60Hz power supply. Follow all local electrical codes.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your range hood.
1. Cleaning Baffle Filters
The stainless steel baffle filters should be cleaned regularly, ideally every 3-6 weeks depending on cooking frequency. To remove:
- Ensure the range hood is off and cool.
- Locate the release latches on each filter.
- Pull the latch and carefully lower the filter.
- Wash filters in hot soapy water or in a dishwasher.
- Allow filters to dry completely before re-installing.
2. Cleaning Stainless Steel Surfaces
Clean the exterior surfaces with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner. Always wipe in the direction of the grain to prevent scratching. Avoid using abrasive pads or harsh chemicals.
3. LED Light Replacement
LED lights are designed for long life and typically do not require frequent replacement. If a light fails, contact Elica customer support for replacement parts and instructions.
