5. Setup and Installation

Installation of the Aexit DZ47-63-C40 Miniature Circuit Breaker should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with all applicable national and local electrical codes.

5.1 Mounting

  1. Ensure the main power supply to the distribution board is OFF.
  2. Locate an available slot on a standard 35mm DIN rail within your electrical panel.

5.2 Wiring Connections

  1. Identify the input (line) and output (load) terminals on the circuit breaker. Refer to the markings on the device.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Switching ON/OFF

  • To switch the circuit breaker ON, push the blue toggle handle upwards to the 'ON' position.
  • To switch the circuit breaker OFF, push the blue toggle handle downwards to the 'OFF' position.

6.2 Tripping Mechanism

In the event of an overload or short-circuit, the circuit breaker will automatically trip, moving the toggle handle to an intermediate or 'TRIPPED' position (often between ON and OFF). This indicates a fault has occurred and the circuit has been safely disconnected.

To reset a tripped circuit breaker:

  1. First, switch the handle fully to the 'OFF' position.
  2. Investigate and resolve the cause of the trip (e.g., remove overloaded devices, fix short-circuit).
  3. Once the fault is cleared, push the handle upwards to the 'ON' position to restore power.

If the circuit breaker trips immediately after resetting, do not attempt to reset it again. This indicates a persistent fault that requires immediate professional attention.

7. Maintenance
