Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Passion-Electro Replacement Remote Control for your ARRIS VIP4302, SAT/DTT system. This remote is designed to provide full functionality similar to your original remote control without the need for any complex programming. Simply insert the batteries, and it's ready to use.

This manual provides essential information on setting up, operating, and maintaining your new remote control.

Setup: Battery Installation

Your replacement remote control requires two AAA (LR03) 1.5V batteries (not included). Follow these steps to install them:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
2. Slide the battery compartment cover downwards or press the latch to open it.
3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment cover by sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.

Once the batteries are installed, the remote is ready for immediate use. No programming or pairing is required.

Operating Instructions

This replacement remote control is designed to replicate the full functionality of your original ARRIS VIP4302 remote. The button layout is intuitive and similar to standard remote controls.

• Power Button: Located at the top, typically red, to turn your device on or off.
• Channel/Volume Controls: Standard up/down buttons for adjusting channels and volume.
• Navigation Pad: Central directional buttons (up, down, left, right) with an "OK" or "Enter" button in the center for menu navigation and selection.
• Numeric Keypad: Buttons 0-9 for direct channel input.
• Function Buttons: Dedicated buttons for specific functions such as Menu, Guide, Info, Back, Exit, and multimedia controls (Play, Pause, Stop, Fast Forward, Rewind).
• LED Indicator: A small LED light on the remote will illuminate briefly when a button is pressed, indicating that a signal is being transmitted.

The effective operating range of the remote control is approximately 10 meters (33 feet) under normal conditions. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and your device's infrared receiver.

Care and Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your remote control, please follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the remote's response becomes sluggish or the LED indicator no longer lights up consistently. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new ones of the same type (AAA 1.5V).
• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the remote's surface. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
