4. Setup

Before first use, perform the following setup steps:

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the generator and all components from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
  2. Wheel and Handle Assembly: Attach the wheels and folding handle according to the instructions in the included Quick Start Guide.
  3. Add Engine Oil: The engine is shipped without oil. Remove the oil fill cap/dipstick and add the recommended amount and type of engine oil (typically 10W-30, refer to the Quick Start Guide for exact specifications). Do not overfill.
  4. Connect Battery: Connect the battery cables to the battery terminals. Ensure correct polarity (red to positive, black to negative).
  5. Add Fuel:
    • Gasoline: Fill the fuel tank with fresh, unleaded gasoline (minimum 87 octane). Do not use E85 or mix oil with gasoline. Do not overfill.
    • Propane (LPG): Connect a standard propane tank (not included) to the generator's propane inlet using the provided hose and regulator. Ensure all connections are tight.
