Installation Kit Contents

Installation kit contents including tubing, adapters, and fittings

The installation kit includes a faucet mounted diverter, faucet adapters, T-valve, water tubing, L-fittings, and cable ties. The three filters are pre-installed inside the product.

Faucet Installation

This method connects the dispenser directly to your kitchen faucet.

  1. Remove Aerator: Begin by removing the aerator from your faucet by loosening it.
  2. Connect Diverter: Connect the provided faucet-mounted diverter to the faucet by hand. Ensure it is sealed tightly to prevent water leakage. If the diverter does not fit, use one of the other faucet adapters provided. Do not overtighten.
  3. Connect Tubing: Remove the tubing end cap from the diverter and connect the water tubing. After connecting, replace and tighten the tubing end cap.
  4. Connect to Dispenser: Connect the other end of the water tubing to the water input on the back of the Cuckoo dispenser. Remove the end plug by pressing the red collet and fully insert the tubing. Ensure it is fully inserted to prevent water leakage.
  5. Power On: Plug in the power cord of the Cuckoo dispenser.
  6. Activate Non-Stop Flow: Place the dispenser on top of the sink and remove the water tray. Activate the non-stop flow function 10 times simultaneously. This process reactivates the filters and system and will take approximately 10 minutes.
  7. Check for Leaks: After activation, check for any water leakage at all connection points.

Under the Sink Installation

This method connects the dispenser to your cold water supply under the sink. Note: This product is designed for cold water supply only.

  1. Turn Off Water Supply: First, cut off the water supply by closing the cold water supply valve under the sink. Verify that no cold water flows out by turning on the sink faucet.
  2. Connect T-Valve: Disconnect the water supply hose from the cold water supply valve and connect the provided T-valve. Tighten to prevent any water leakage.
  3. Reconnect Water Supply: Reconnect the disconnected water supply hose to the T-valve and tighten.
  4. Route Tubing: Organize and place the water tubing through a hole on your countertop or sink to connect with the water supply. If no hole exists, you may need to create one for the tubing.
  5. Connect to Dispenser: Connect the water tubing to the water input on the back of the Cuckoo dispenser. Remove the end plug by pressing the red collet and fully insert the tubing. Ensure it is fully inserted to prevent water leakage.
  6. Open Water Supply: Open the cold water supply valve and check for any water leakage at all connection points.
  7. Power On: Plug in the power cord of the Cuckoo dispenser.
  8. Activate Non-Stop Flow: Activate the non-stop flow function 10 times simultaneously. This process reactivates the filters and system and will take approximately 10 minutes.

Filter Replacement

The Cuckoo dispenser is equipped with a filter replacement alarm system that indicates when each filter needs to be changed. Regular filter replacement is crucial for maintaining water quality and dispenser performance.

The filters are designed for easy, tool-free replacement. The system will alert you when a filter needs changing.

  • Pre-Carbon 2.0 Filter: Recommended replacement every 4 months. This filter reduces heavy metals (lead), particulates, odor, color, organic substances, chlorine, THM, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and cysts.
  • Nano Positive Filter: Recommended replacement every 12 months. This filter attracts harmful charged particles, eliminating 99.99% of viruses and bacteria while allowing beneficial minerals to pass. It also removes residual heavy metals, germs, algae, and fungi.
  • Mineralizer Filter: Recommended replacement every 12 months. This filter creates mineral-enriched, mild alkaline water, supplying critical nutrients such as potassium, calcium, and magnesium, and helps balance pH.

Always refer to the filter replacement alarm on your dispenser for precise timing. Use only genuine Cuckoo replacement filters.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Cuckoo Tankless Countertop Water Dispenser, please refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:

  • Water Leakage:
    • Ensure all connections (faucet diverter/T-valve, tubing to dispenser) are securely tightened.
    • Verify that the tubing is fully inserted into the quick-connect fittings. The red collet should be pressed down when inserting the tubing.
    • Check for any cracks or damage on the tubing or fittings.
  • Slow Water Flow:
    • This often indicates a clogged filter. Check the filter replacement alarm and replace any indicated filters.
    • Ensure the water supply valve is fully open.
  • Unusual Taste or Odor:
    • Perform the initial 10-minute non-stop flow activation process again to flush the system.
    • Check filter replacement indicators. Old or expired filters can cause taste/odor issues.
  • No Water Dispensing:
    • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged in and there is power to the outlet.
    • Check if the water supply valve is open.
    • Verify that the 'Button Lock' feature is not activated.

If the issue persists after following these steps, please contact Cuckoo customer support for further assistance.
