1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

  • WARNING: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK. Installation should only be performed by a qualified electrician or a person with a thorough understanding of electrical wiring.
  • Disconnect power at the circuit breaker before installation.
  • This smart switch is designed for single pole applications only. It is not compatible with 3-way (multi-switch) lighting systems.
  • A neutral wire is required for operation.
  • This is not a dimmer switch.
  • Supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks only. 5GHz Wi-Fi is not supported.

6. Installation Guide

6.1 Pre-installation Checklist

  • Confirm your existing switch is a single pole switch.
  • Verify that a neutral wire is present in your wall box. (Typically white, but consult an electrician if unsure).
  • Ensure you have a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network available.
  • Tools required: Screwdriver, wire strippers, voltage tester.

6.2 Wiring Instructions

  1. Turn off power: Locate the circuit breaker controlling the light switch and turn it OFF. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
  2. Remove old switch: Carefully remove the existing wall plate and unscrew the old switch from the wall box. Disconnect the wires.
  3. Identify wires: Identify the Live (Line), Load, Neutral, and Ground wires from your wall box.
  4. Connect new switch: Connect the wires from the wall box to the corresponding terminals on the Lesim Smart Switch:
    • Live (Line) Wire: Connect to the 'L' terminal.
    • Load Wire: Connect to the 'Load' terminal.
    • Neutral Wire: Connect to the 'N' terminal.
    • Ground Wire: Connect to the 'GND' terminal.
  5. Mount switch: Gently push the wired switch into the wall box and secure it with screws. Attach the 2-gang wall plate.
  6. Restore power: Turn the power back ON at the circuit breaker. The indicator light on the switch should blink, indicating it's ready for pairing.

7. Operating Instructions

7.1 App Control (Smart Life App)

The Lesim Smart Switch operates with the Smart Life app, available for iOS and Android devices. No separate hub is required.

  1. Download App: Search for "Smart Life" in the App Store or Google Play Store and download the app.
  2. Register/Login: Open the app and register a new account or log in if you already have one.
  3. Add Device:
    • In the Smart Life app, tap "Add Device" or the "+" icon.
    • Select "Electrician" then "Switch (Wi-Fi)".
    • Confirm the indicator light on the switch is blinking rapidly. If not, press and hold the switch button for 5-10 seconds until it blinks rapidly.
    • Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network name and password.
    • The app will begin connecting to the device. Once connected, you can rename the switch.
  4. Control Lights: From the app, you can turn your lights on/off from anywhere, set schedules, and create scenes.
