  • 1. On/Off Switch: Controls power to the unit.
  • 2. Dust Bowl Release Button: Used to detach the dust bowl for emptying.
  • 3. Dust Bowl: Collects debris.
  • 4. Charging Port: For connecting the jack-type charger.
  • 5. Charger Jack Plug: Connects to the charging port.

Setup

Initial Charging

Before first use, the battery must be charged for at least 24 hours to ensure optimal performance and battery life.

  • Ensure the appliance is switched off. The battery will not charge if the on/off switch is pressed.
  • Insert the charger jack plug (5) into the charging port (4) on the vacuum cleaner. Refer to Figure D in the diagram above.
  • Plug the charger into a mains socket and switch on.
  • The LED indicator on the charger will light up, indicating charging is in progress.
  • Leave the appliance to charge for at least 21 hours for the initial charge.
  • While charging, the charger may become warm; this is normal and does not indicate a problem. The appliance can be left connected to the charger indefinitely.

WARNING! Do not charge the battery at ambient temperatures below 10 °C (50 °F) or above 40 °C (104 °F).

Operation

Switching On and Off

  • To switch the appliance on, press and hold the on/off switch (1).
  • To switch the appliance off, release the on/off switch (1). Refer to Figure G in the diagram above.

Dry Pick-Up

This appliance is designed for dry pick-up of everyday spills and debris.

  • Use the vacuum for everyday spills of dry material.
  • WARNING! Never pick up wet applications with this unit. This model is for dry use only.

Maintenance

Emptying the Dustbin

Regularly empty the dustbin to maintain optimal suction power.

  • Press the dust bowl release button (2) to detach the dust bowl (3) from the main unit.
  • Hold the dust bowl over a trash receptacle and empty its contents.

Cleaning the Filters

To keep the suction force optimized, the filters must be cleared regularly during use.

  • After emptying the dustbin, separate the filter components.
  • Tap the filter gently to remove loose dust and debris.
  • For a more thorough cleaning, rinse the filter and dust bowl under running water.
  • Ensure all components are completely dry before reassembling and using the vacuum cleaner.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your vacuum cleaner, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power: Ensure the unit is fully charged. Check that the charger is properly connected to both the vacuum and the power outlet.
  • Reduced Suction: Empty the dustbin and clean the filters thoroughly. Ensure all components are correctly reassembled.
  • Charger Warm: It is normal for the charger to become warm during use. If it becomes excessively hot or emits smoke, disconnect it immediately and contact customer service.
  • Unusual Noise: Check for any blockages in the nozzle or dust bowl. Ensure the filter is correctly seated.
