Carefully follow these steps for the correct assembly of your Dancover Portable Garage Tent PRO. It is recommended to have at least two people for assembly.

3.1. Site Preparation

  • Choose a level, clear area free from sharp objects, debris, and overhead obstructions.
  • Ensure adequate space around the tent for assembly and future access.
  • Consider drainage to prevent water accumulation around the base.

3.2. Unpacking and Component Identification

  • Unpack all components and lay them out. Verify all parts are present against the packing list (not provided in this manual, refer to product packaging).
  • Familiarize yourself with the different pipe lengths and connectors.

3.3. Frame Assembly

Assemble the galvanised steel frame according to the structural diagram. Ensure all connections are secure.

  1. Begin by assembling the base frame sections.
  2. Connect the vertical support pipes to the base.
  3. Assemble the roof arches and connect them to the vertical supports.

  • Unfold the roof tarpaulin and position it centrally over the frame.

  • Secure the tarpaulin to the frame using the provided fasteners or ropes, ensuring a snug fit to prevent flapping in wind.

3.5. Anchoring the Tent

Proper anchoring is crucial for stability, especially in windy conditions.

  • Use the provided ground dowels and anchors to secure the base frame to the ground.
  • The floor bar should be firmly attached to the ground.
  • For additional stability, especially in areas prone to strong winds, bury the wind flaps (extensions of the tarpaulin at the base) in the ground or cover them with heavy stones or other heavy material.
  • For permanent installation, the tent can be mounted on a concrete foundation using expansion screws (not included).

  • To open, unfasten the door zippers or ties and roll up the door panel. Secure it in the open position using the provided straps.
  • To close, unroll the door panel and secure it firmly using the zippers or ties to ensure weather protection.

4.2. Ventilation

  • The tent is equipped with two ventilation openings to ensure effective air flow and reduce condensation.
  • Ensure these openings are clear and unobstructed for optimal air circulation.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will extend the lifespan of your portable garage tent.

  • Cleaning: Clean the PVC tarpaulin periodically with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the material. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry completely before folding or storing.
  • Frame Inspection: Regularly inspect the galvanised steel frame for any signs of rust, bending, or damage. Tighten any loose connections.
  • Tarpaulin Inspection: Check the tarpaulin for tears, punctures, or excessive wear. Repair small damages promptly with appropriate PVC repair kits to prevent them from worsening.
  • Anchoring Check: Periodically verify that all ground dowels and anchors are securely in place, especially after strong winds. Re-secure or re-anchor as needed.
  • Snow Load: In areas with heavy snowfall, it is recommended to regularly remove snow from the roof to prevent excessive weight accumulation, which could damage the frame.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Water Pooling on Roof: Ensure the tarpaulin is taut and evenly distributed over the frame. Check for any sagging areas and adjust the frame or tensioning ropes.
  • Tent Instability in Wind: Verify that all ground anchors and dowels are fully engaged and secure. Ensure wind flaps are buried or weighted down. Consider additional anchoring points if necessary.
  • Condensation Inside: Ensure both ventilation openings are clear and unobstructed. If possible, open doors periodically to allow for greater air exchange.
  • Difficulty Closing Doors: Check if the frame is perfectly square and level. Ensure no debris is obstructing the zipper or tie mechanisms.
