2. Safety Information
Please read and understand all safety instructions before using this product. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or property damage.
- FOR INDOOR USE ONLY: Do not use this surge protector outdoors or in wet environments.
- ELECTRICAL RATINGS: Do not exceed the electrical ratings of 120V/15A/60Hz. Overloading the surge protector can cause the circuit breaker to trip or create a fire hazard.
- DO NOT DAISY-CHAIN: Do not plug one surge protector into another.
- GROUNDING: Ensure the surge protector is plugged into a properly grounded 3-prong outlet.
- CHILD SAFETY: Keep out of reach of children.
- INSPECT REGULARLY: Periodically inspect the surge protector and connected cords for damage. Discontinue use if any damage is found.

5. Setup and Installation
- Placement: Choose a dry, indoor location for the surge protector, away from heat sources or direct sunlight.
- Plug In: Insert the surge protector's 3-prong plug firmly into a standard 120V AC grounded wall outlet.
- Connect Devices: Plug your electronic devices into the six available outlets on the surge protector. Ensure the total power draw does not exceed the surge protector's rating (15A).
- Power On: Press the lighted on/off switch to the "ON" position. The switch will illuminate when power is supplied to the outlets.
- Optional Wall Mounting: The surge protector features keyhole slots on the back for wall mounting. To mount, measure the distance between the keyhole slots, install two screws (not included) into the wall at the measured distance, leaving the screw heads slightly protruding. Align the keyhole slots with the screw heads and slide the surge protector down to secure it.

6. Operation
The Hyper Tough 6-Outlet Surge Protector is designed for simple operation:
- Power Control: Use the lighted on/off switch to control power to all connected devices. When the switch is illuminated, power is supplied.
- Surge Protection: The surge protector continuously monitors incoming power and diverts excess voltage away from your connected electronics during a power surge or spike.
- Circuit Breaker: In the event of an overload (when connected devices draw more than 15 amps), the built-in circuit breaker will automatically trip, cutting power to the outlets to prevent damage. The on/off switch will no longer be illuminated.
7. Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your surge protector:
- Cleaning: Disconnect the surge protector from the wall outlet and all connected devices before cleaning. Wipe with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
- Inspection: Periodically check the power cord and the surge protector housing for any signs of damage, such as frayed wires, cracks, or discoloration. If damage is observed, discontinue use immediately.
8. Troubleshooting
- No power to connected devices / On/Off switch is not illuminated.
Possible Cause: The circuit breaker has tripped due to an overload.
Solution: Disconnect some devices from the surge protector. Press the on/off switch firmly to reset the circuit breaker. If the switch does not reset or immediately trips again, reduce the number of connected devices or ensure they do not exceed the 15A rating. If the issue persists, try plugging the surge protector into a different wall outlet to rule out an issue with the original outlet.
- Surge protector feels warm.
Possible Cause: Normal operation or slight overload.
Solution: A slight warmth during operation is normal. However, if the surge protector feels excessively hot, immediately disconnect it from the wall outlet and all devices. This could indicate an overload or internal fault. Reduce the load or discontinue use.
