5. Setup
5.1 Placement
Place the M-ONE on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive moisture. Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit for proper ventilation, especially above the top panel.
5.2 Speaker Connection
Connect your passive loudspeakers to the speaker terminals on the rear panel. Ensure that the positive (+) terminal of the M-ONE is connected to the positive (+) terminal of your speaker, and the negative (-) terminal of the M-ONE is connected to the negative (-) terminal of your speaker. Use high-quality speaker cables for optimal performance.
Caution:
- Ensure the M-ONE is powered off before making any speaker connections.
- Do not short-circuit the speaker terminals.
5.3 Source Connection
Connect your audio sources to the appropriate inputs on the rear panel:
- Digital Sources (CD Player, Streamer, TV): Use coaxial, optical, or USB cables to connect to the respective digital inputs. For computer connection, use the USB B input.
- Analog Sources (Turntable with Phono Preamp, Tape Deck): Use RCA cables to connect to the AUX inputs.
5.4 Power Connection

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Power On/Off
First, ensure the main power switch on the rear panel is in the 'ON' position. Then, press the Power Button on the front panel to switch the M-ONE from standby to operational mode. Press it again to return to standby.
6.2 Input Selection
Rotate the SEL knob on the front panel to cycle through the available input sources (e.g., COAX, OPT, USB, AUX, BT). The selected input will be displayed on the OLED screen. Press the SEL knob to confirm your selection.
6.3 Volume Control
Rotate the VOL knob on the front panel clockwise to increase the volume and counter-clockwise to decrease it. The current volume level will be shown on the OLED display. Press the VOL knob to mute or unmute the audio output.
6.4 Bluetooth Pairing
To connect a Bluetooth device:
- Select the 'BT' input using the SEL knob. The display will show "BT Pairing".
- On your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "Audiolab M-ONE" from the list of devices.
- Once paired, the display will indicate a successful connection, and you can now stream audio wirelessly to the M-ONE.
6.5 DAC Functionality
The M-ONE features a high-performance DSD DAC. When a digital input (COAX, OPT, USB) is selected, the M-ONE will automatically process the digital audio signal. For USB connection to a computer, you may need to install specific drivers, which can typically be found on the Audiolab website. 6.6 Headphone Output
Connect your headphones to the 6.3mm headphone jack on the front panel. When headphones are connected, the loudspeaker output will automatically be muted.
