Setup

1. Initial Setup

1. Insert the Nulaxy KM18 Color into your car's cigarette lighter socket. The device will power on automatically and display the car battery voltage.
2. The screen will show the current FM frequency.

2. FM Frequency Selection

1. Press the CH button. The FM frequency on the screen will start flashing.
2. Rotate the multi-function knob left or right to select an empty FM frequency. Choose a frequency that does not have an active radio station to minimize interference. Frequencies at the extreme ends of the FM band (e.g., 87.5 MHz or 107.9 MHz) are often clearer.
3. Once you have selected a frequency, press the CH button again or wait a few seconds for the frequency to stop flashing and be set.
4. Tune your car's FM radio to the exact same frequency as the KM18 Color.

3. Bluetooth Pairing

1. On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
2. Select "KM18 Color" from the list of found devices.
3. Once paired, the device screen will indicate "Bluetooth Connected" or similar, and a voice prompt will confirm the connection.

Operating Instructions

1. Music Playback

• Bluetooth Streaming:
  • After successful Bluetooth pairing, open your music player on your mobile device and start playing music. The audio will be transmitted to your car stereo via the selected FM frequency.
  • Use the Previous/Next Track buttons on the KM18 Color to skip tracks.
  • Rotate the multi-function knob to adjust the volume.
• MicroSD Card Playback:
  • Insert a microSD card (up to 32GB, formatted to FAT32) containing MP3/WMA/WAV/FLAC audio files into the card slot.
  • The device will automatically switch to microSD card playback mode.
  • Use the Previous/Next Track buttons to navigate songs.
  • Press the M button to access music playback settings, including 4 music playback modes (Repeat All, One, Random, Folder).
• Aux-in Playback:
  • Connect your audio device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone without Bluetooth) to the KM18 Color's Aux-in port using a 3.5mm audio cable.
  • The device will automatically switch to Aux-in mode.
  • Control music playback directly from your connected audio device.

2. Hands-free Calling

• Answering a Call: When a call comes in, the screen will display the incoming number. Press the multi-function knob once to answer the call.
• Ending a Call: During a call, press the multi-function knob once to end the call.
• Rejecting a Call: When a call comes in, press and hold the multi-function knob for 2 seconds to reject the call.
• Redialing: Double-press the multi-function knob to redial the last outgoing number.
• Private Call: During a call, press and hold the multi-function knob for 2 seconds to switch the call between the transmitter and your phone.

3. Charging Devices

The KM18 Color features two USB charging ports:

• QC3.0 Port (Orange): For fast charging Quick Charge 3.0 compatible devices.
• 5V/2.4A Port (Blue): For standard charging of smartphones, tablets, and other USB-powered devices.

Simply connect your device's USB charging cable to the appropriate port on the transmitter.

4. EQ Modes

To change the equalizer mode during music playback:

1. Press the M button.
2. Navigate to the EQ settings using the Previous/Next Track buttons or by rotating the multi-function knob.
3. Select your desired EQ mode from Normal, Classic, Pop, Rock, or Jazz.
4. Press the multi-function knob to confirm your selection.

Maintenance

• Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
• Ensure the cigarette lighter socket is clean and free of debris for proper connection.
• Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
