Setup Guide

1. Transmitter Placement and Connection

  1. Positioning: Place the transmitter unit on a stable surface, ideally within line of sight of the intended receiver area to maximize wireless range and signal stability. Avoid placing it near large metal objects or other wireless devices that may cause interference.
  2. Antenna Connection: Screw the provided antennas securely into the antenna ports on the rear of the transmitter.
  3. Audio Input: Connect your audio source (e.g., mixing console, audio interface) to the AF IN (L) and AF IN (R) input jacks on the rear of the transmitter using appropriate audio cables.
  4. Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the DC power socket on the transmitter and plug it into a suitable power outlet.

2. Receiver Setup

  1. Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment on each bodypack receiver and insert two AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  2. Earphone Connection: Plug your in-ear monitors or headphones into the 3.5mm headphone output jack on the bodypack receiver.
  3. Power On: Turn on the bodypack receiver using the power/volume knob.

3. Frequency Synchronization

The IEM1200 system offers both automatic and manual frequency selection:

  • Automatic Frequency Selection (Recommended): Press the "Set" button on the transmitter. The system will automatically scan and select an interference-free frequency. Ensure your bodypack receivers are powered on and within range for automatic synchronization.
  • Manual Frequency Adjustment: Use the left/right navigation buttons on the transmitter to manually select a desired frequency. Confirm the selection by holding down the "Set" button. Ensure the receiver is tuned to the same frequency.

Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off

  • Transmitter: Press the power button on the front panel. The LCD display will illuminate.
  • Receiver: Rotate the volume knob clockwise to power on the bodypack receiver. The LCD display will show the frequency and battery status.

Adjusting Volume

  • Transmitter Output: Use the volume knobs on the transmitter to adjust the overall output level for the left and right channels.
  • Receiver Volume: Use the volume knob on the bodypack receiver to adjust the listening level in your earphones.
  • Important Note: The system has a built-in limiter. If audio cuts out at high volumes, reduce the input level to the transmitter or the volume on the receiver to prevent distortion and ensure clear sound.

Monitoring Audio

You can monitor the audio directly from the transmitter using the 1/4-inch stereo headphone jack on the front panel. This allows you to hear exactly what is being sent to the bodypack receivers.
