Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions
- Device not powering on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a power source and try again. If the issue persists, perform a soft reset by holding down all buttons for 10 seconds.
- GPS signal not acquired: Ensure you are in an open area with a clear view of the sky. It may take a few minutes to acquire a signal, especially after initial power-on or if the device has been moved a significant distance.
- Unable to pair with Bryton Active app: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and the device is within range. Try restarting both the device and your smartphone. If pairing fails, try unpairing and re-pairing the device in your phone's Bluetooth settings and the Bryton Active app.
- External sensors not connecting: Verify that your sensors (e.g., heart rate monitor, cadence sensor) are compatible with Bluetooth. Ensure the sensors have fresh batteries and are properly activated. Try re-pairing them through the Bryton Active app. Note that some older ANT+ only sensors may not be compatible.
- Inaccurate data or freezing: Ensure the device firmware is up to date via the Bryton Active app. If the device freezes, hold down the power button to force a restart.
- Ride data not syncing to Strava: Confirm that your Strava account is correctly linked within the Bryton Active app settings. Ensure a stable internet connection on your smartphone during synchronization.
