Operating Instructions
Preparing Ingredients
Wash fruits and vegetables thoroughly. The 3.5-inch extra wide chute allows juicing of whole fruits and vegetables without pre-cutting, such as apples, carrots, and oranges. Remove large seeds or pits from fruits like peaches, plums, etc.

Juicing Process
- Ensure the juicer is correctly assembled and the juice jug is in place.
- Turn the control dial to the desired speed setting:
- QUIET: For softer fruits and vegetables, and reduced mechanical noise (40% reduction).
- FAST: For general juicing of most fruits and vegetables.
- BOOST: For harder produce or when maximum yield is desired.
- With the motor running, gently feed ingredients into the chute using the food pusher. Do not force ingredients down.
- The Cold Spin Technology ensures minimal heat transfer, preserving vitamins and minerals.

Using the Juice Nozzle
The detachable spout allows for mess-free juicing directly into a glass. When finished, simply invert the nozzle to prevent drips and keep your countertop clean.
Storing Juice
The 70 fl oz Seal & Store Jug allows you to make a large batch of juice for the whole family. Juice can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your juicer.
- Unplug the juicer from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Disassemble all removable parts: food pusher, juicer cover, filter basket, juice collector, pulp container, and juice jug.
- Rinse all removable parts under running water. Use the provided cleaning brush to clean the stainless steel filter basket thoroughly.
- The 70 fl oz Easy Seal Juice Jug and other removable parts are dishwasher safe (top rack recommended).
- Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor base in water.
- Dry all parts completely before reassembling or storing.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Breville Juice Fountain Cold XL, refer to the following common problems and solutions.
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| Juicer does not turn on | Ensure the power cord is securely plugged in and the safety locking arm is correctly engaged and locked into position. |
| Motor stalls or slows down | This may occur with very hard produce or if too much pressure is applied with the food pusher. Reduce the amount of produce or apply less pressure. Ensure the filter basket is clean. |
| Excessive vibration or noise | Ensure the filter basket is correctly inserted and not damaged. Check that all parts are properly assembled and the safety locking arm is engaged. |
| Pulp is wet | This can happen with certain types of produce. Try using the BOOST setting for harder fruits and vegetables to maximize yield. Ensure the filter basket is clean. |
