3. Setup
3.1 Connecting the Telephone
- Connect one end of the coiled handset cord to the handset and the other end to the jack on the side of the telephone base unit.
- Connect one end of the telephone line cord (RJ11) to the jack labeled 'LINE' or 'TEL' on the back of the telephone base unit.
- Connect the other end of the telephone line cord to your wall telephone jack.
3.2 Desktop or Wall Mount Installation
The Ornin T112 is designed for both desktop use and wall mounting.
Desktop Use:
Simply place the telephone on a flat, stable surface. Ensure the cords are not tangled or obstructing movement.

Wall Mount Use:
This telephone includes a specific wall mount hook/bracket. Do not attempt to use standard wall-mounted panels as they may not be compatible. Use the integrated hook on the back of the phone for secure wall mounting.
- Locate the keyhole slots on the back of the telephone unit (refer to Figure 2.3).
- Install two screws (not included) into your wall, spaced to align with the keyhole slots. Ensure the screws are securely anchored and protrude slightly.
- Align the keyhole slots on the back of the phone with the installed screws and slide the phone downwards to secure it.
- Ensure the phone is firmly attached to the wall before use.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Basic Functions
Making a Call:
- Lift the handset.
- Listen for a dial tone.
- Dial the desired telephone number using the keypad.
- To end the call, replace the handset on the base unit.
Answering a Call:
When the phone rings, simply lift the handset to answer the call. Replace the handset to end the call.
Redial Function:
To redial the last number called, lift the handset and press the REDIAL button.
Mute Function:
During a call, press the MUTE button to temporarily silence your microphone. The other party will not hear you. Press MUTE again to resume the conversation.
4.2 Advanced Features
Caller ID (FSK/DTMF):
This telephone automatically detects and displays incoming caller ID information (FSK and DTMF formats). The display will show the caller's number. Note: The display format for caller ID may vary and might not include dashes or spaces between number segments.
Memory Functions:
- Outgoing Call Storage: The phone can store up to 16 groups of outgoing call numbers.
- Incoming Call Storage: The phone can store up to 6 groups of incoming call numbers, with dynamic storage for up to 53 groups of 8-digit incoming calls.
- Quick Dial (M1/M2): Use the M1 and M2 buttons for quick dialing of frequently used numbers. Refer to the specific instructions for setting these memory locations.
- Single Key Memory: Stores up to 72 groups of 12-bit numbers.
- Double Key Memory: Stores up to 10 groups of 12-bit numbers.
Blacklist Function:
You can set up to 5 groups of 16-bit blacklist numbers. When a call comes from a blacklisted number, the telephone will automatically hang up.
VIP Numbers:
Up to 11 caller IDs can be designated as VIP numbers. These numbers are protected from accidental deletion.
Local Code and Outgoing Code:
The phone supports a 5-digit local code and a single outgoing code for specific dialing requirements.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning:
To clean your telephone, wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the surface. Ensure the phone is disconnected from the telephone line before cleaning.
5.2 Storage:
If you plan to store the telephone for an extended period, disconnect it from the telephone line and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
6. Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your telephone, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
