3. Setup and First Use

3.1 Unpacking and Initial Cleaning:

  1. Carefully remove all packaging materials and inspect the samovar for any damage.
  2. Before first use, clean all removable parts (teapot, infuser, lid, drip tray, tap assembly) with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  3. Wipe the interior and exterior of the main water boiler with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.

3.2 Assembly:

  1. Place the main water boiler on a stable, level, and heat-resistant surface.
  2. Ensure the dispensing tap is securely attached.
  3. Place the drip tray underneath the tap.
  4. Position the lid on the main water boiler.
  5. Place the teapot on top of the lid. If using the tea infuser, insert it into the teapot.

3.3 First Operation (Cleaning Cycle):

  1. Fill the main water boiler with clean water up to the MAX mark. Do not add tea or other liquids during this cycle.
  2. Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
  3. Turn the temperature control knob to the maximum setting (boil). The indicator light will illuminate.
  4. Allow the water to boil for approximately 15-20 minutes.
  5. Carefully dispense all the hot water through the tap into a sink.
  6. Unplug the samovar and let it cool completely.
  7. Repeat this process once more to ensure thorough cleaning and removal of any manufacturing residues.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Preparing Tea:

  1. Ensure the samovar is clean and properly assembled.
  2. Fill the main water boiler with fresh, cold water. Observe the MIN and MAX fill lines.
  3. Place your desired amount of loose leaf tea into the removable tea infuser.
  4. Insert the infuser into the teapot and place the teapot on top of the samovar lid.
  5. Plug the samovar into a grounded outlet.
  6. Turn the temperature control knob to the maximum setting to bring the water to a boil (approximately 98°C). The 2000W heating element will activate for rapid boiling.
  7. Once the water boils, the samovar will automatically switch to the 500W warming element to maintain the temperature.
  8. Pour some hot water from the main boiler into the teapot to brew your tea concentrate. Adjust the brewing time according to your preference.

4.2 Dispensing Hot Water or Tea:

  1. To dispense hot water, place a cup or mug under the tap and push the tap lever down. Release the lever to stop the flow.
  2. To serve tea, first pour a small amount of tea concentrate from the teapot into your cup. Then, dilute it to your desired strength with hot water from the main samovar tap.

4.3 After Use:

  1. When you are finished using the samovar, turn the temperature control knob to the "OFF" position and unplug the appliance from the wall outlet.
  2. Allow the samovar to cool completely before cleaning.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your BEEM Samovar.

5.1 Daily Cleaning:

  1. Always unplug the samovar and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Empty any remaining water from the main boiler and tea from the teapot.
  3. Remove the teapot, infuser, lid, and drip tray. These parts are dishwasher safe.
  4. Clean the interior of the main boiler with a soft brush or sponge and warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  5. Wipe the exterior of the samovar with a damp cloth and then dry with a soft, clean cloth to maintain its mirror finish.
  6. Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling or storing.

5.2 Descaling:

Depending on the hardness of your water, limescale deposits may build up over time. Regular descaling is recommended to maintain efficiency.

  1. Mix a descaling solution according to the manufacturer's instructions (e.g., citric acid solution or commercial descaler).
  2. Pour the solution into the main water boiler up to the MAX mark.
  3. Turn on the samovar and allow the solution to heat up, but do not boil. Let it sit for 30-60 minutes, or as recommended by the descaler product.
  4. Carefully drain the solution through the tap.
  5. Rinse the boiler thoroughly several times with fresh water, boiling and draining clean water at least twice to remove any descaler residue.
  6. Remove and clean the stainless steel water/limescale particle filter as needed.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your BEEM Samovar, please consult the following table before contacting customer service.

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Samovar does not heat up.Not plugged in; power switch off; faulty outlet.Check power cord connection; ensure temperature knob is turned on; test outlet with another appliance.
Water takes too long to boil.Limescale buildup; low power setting; large volume of water.Descale the samovar (see Section 5.2); ensure temperature knob is set to maximum for boiling; boiling large volumes naturally takes longer.
Water leaks from the tap.Tap not fully closed; tap assembly loose or damaged.Ensure tap lever is fully released; check if the tap assembly is securely tightened. If damage is suspected, contact customer support.
Tea infuser or teapot does not fit correctly.Incorrect placement; not original parts.Ensure the teapot is placed centrally on the samovar lid. Use only original BEEM accessories.
