4. Installation (Setup)

The Aexit DZ47-63 C10 Miniature Circuit Breaker is designed for 35mm DIN rail mounting. Follow these steps for proper installation:

  1. Power Disconnection: Before beginning any installation, ensure that the main power supply to the distribution board or panel is completely disconnected and locked out to prevent accidental re-energization.
  2. Mounting:

Locate an available space on the 35mm DIN rail within your electrical panel. Align the circuit breaker with the rail and press firmly until it clicks securely into place. Ensure it is stable and does not wobble.

  3. Wiring Connections:
    • Identify the line (input) and load (output) terminals on the circuit breaker. Typically, the line connection is at the top and the load connection is at the bottom. Refer to the markings on the device.
    • Strip the insulation from the appropriate wires to the recommended length (usually indicated on the device or in electrical standards).
    • Insert the line wire into the top terminal and the load wire into the bottom terminal.
    • Tighten the terminal screws securely using an appropriate screwdriver. Ensure there are no loose strands and that the connection is firm to prevent overheating.
  4. Verification: Double-check all wiring connections for correctness and tightness. Ensure no bare wires are exposed.
  5. Panel Closure: Once installation is complete and verified, close the electrical panel cover securely.
  6. Power Restoration: Restore power to the main supply.

5. Operation

The Aexit DZ47-63 C10 MCB operates with a simple toggle mechanism:

  • ON Position: To energize the circuit, push the blue toggle switch upwards to the "ON" position.
  • OFF Position: To de-energize the circuit, push the blue toggle switch downwards to the "OFF" position.
  • Tripped Position: In the event of an overload or short circuit, the breaker will automatically trip. The toggle switch will move to an intermediate position (often between ON and OFF) or fully to the OFF position, indicating a fault.

Important: This circuit breaker is designed for protection and infrequent switching. Do not use it for routine on/off control of appliances or lighting.

6. Maintenance

The Aexit DZ47-63 C10 MCB requires minimal maintenance. However, periodic checks are recommended to ensure optimal performance and safety:

  • Visual Inspection: Annually, or as required, visually inspect the circuit breaker for any signs of physical damage, discoloration (indicating overheating), or loose connections. Ensure the toggle switch moves freely.
  • Cleaning: If necessary, gently clean the exterior of the circuit breaker with a dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents. Ensure power is disconnected before cleaning.
  • Terminal Tightness: Periodically check the tightness of the terminal screws. Loose connections can lead to overheating and potential fire hazards. This should only be done by qualified personnel with power disconnected.

Do not attempt to repair a damaged or malfunctioning circuit breaker. Replace it with a new one of the same specifications.

7. Troubleshooting

If the circuit breaker trips, follow these steps:

  1. Identify the Cause: Disconnect all appliances or devices connected to the tripped circuit. A tripped breaker indicates an overload or short circuit.
  2. Resetting the Breaker:
    • First, push the toggle switch fully to the "OFF" position.
    • Then, push the toggle switch firmly to the "ON" position.
  3. If it Trips Again: If the breaker trips immediately after resetting, or trips again after reconnecting a device, there is likely a persistent fault (e.g., a short circuit in wiring or a faulty appliance).
    • Do not repeatedly reset a tripping breaker without investigating the cause.
    • Consult a qualified electrician to diagnose and repair the electrical fault.
  4. No Power, Breaker Not Tripped: If there is no power to the circuit but the breaker is in the "ON" position, check the main circuit breaker or other upstream protective devices. If the issue persists, contact a qualified electrician.
