Klarus 360X3 Revolutionary User Interface and Intelligent Systems

Figure 6.1: Overview of the Intelligent Thermal Protection System (ITS), Intelligent Charging System (ICS), Intelligent Battery Identification System (IBIS), and Multiple Safety Systems.

6.1 Intelligent Thermal Protection System (ITS)

The ITS monitors the internal temperature of the flashlight and automatically adjusts the output to prevent overheating. This protects the LED and internal components, ensuring safety, stability, and maximum user comfort during prolonged use at high outputs.

6.2 Intelligent Battery Identification System (IBIS)

IBIS automatically identifies the installed 18650 Li-ion battery's discharge capability and adjusts the maximum output accordingly. It is also compatible with CR123A and KLARUS 16340 batteries, optimizing performance for each battery type.

6.3 Intelligent Charging System (ICS)

As detailed in Section 4.2, the ICS provides quick and convenient charging via the Micro-USB port. It monitors charging status in real-time, preventing overcharging and limiting the maximum charging current to prevent damage, ensuring a safer and faster charging process.

6.4 Multiple Safety Systems

The 360X3 is equipped with comprehensive safety features to protect both the flashlight and the user:

  • Over-Charging Protection: Prevents battery damage from excessive charging.
  • Impact Protection: Designed to withstand impacts up to 1 meter.
  • Over-Voltage Protection: Safeguards against voltage spikes.
  • Over-Current Protection: Protects against excessive current draw.
  • Thermal Protection: (See ITS, Section 6.1)
  • Reverse Polarity Protection: Prevents damage from incorrect battery insertion.

  • Lubrication: Apply a thin layer of silicone grease to the O-rings and threads periodically to maintain waterproof integrity and smooth operation.
  • O-ring Replacement: If O-rings become damaged or worn, replace them with the included spare O-ring to maintain the waterproof seal.
  • Battery Care:
    • Remove the battery if the flashlight will not be used for an extended period to prevent potential leakage.
    • Store batteries in a cool, dry place.
    • Do not over-discharge or overcharge batteries.
  • Avoid Disassembly: Do not attempt to disassemble the sealed head or other components, as this may damage the flashlight and void the warranty.
