Setup

1. Charging the Keyboard

Before initial use, fully charge the keyboard using the provided USB charging cable. Connect the small end of the USB cable to the keyboard's charging port and the larger end to a USB power source (e.g., computer, USB wall adapter).

• A full charge provides approximately 200 hours of usage without backlight or 5 hours with continuous backlight.
• Standby time can last up to 90 days on a full charge.

2. Powering On/Off

• To power on: Press and hold the power button for 1.5 seconds.
• To power off: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds.

3. Bluetooth Pairing

Follow these steps to connect your keyboard to your Microsoft Surface Pro:

1. Ensure the keyboard is charged and powered on.
2. Press the Fn + Esc (Bluetooth icon) keys simultaneously on the keyboard to enter pairing mode. The Bluetooth indicator light will flash.
3. On your Microsoft Surface Pro, go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
4. Turn on Bluetooth.
5. Select Add Bluetooth or other device > Bluetooth.
6. Locate and select the keyboard device (e.g., "Bluetooth Keyboard") from the list of available devices.
7. Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process. The Bluetooth indicator light on the keyboard will stop flashing once successfully paired.

Operating Instructions

1. Backlight Control

The keyboard features a 7-color LED backlight with adjustable brightness levels.

• To turn on the backlight: Press the (Light icon) key once.
• To increase brightness: Press the (Light icon) key a second time.
• To turn off the backlight: Press the (Light icon) key a third time.
• To change backlight colors: Press (Light icon) + Up Arrow or (Light icon) + Down Arrow keys. There are 7 optional colors.

Note: The backlight will not function until the keyboard is successfully paired with your device. The backlight will automatically turn off when the battery level is below 20% to conserve power.

2. Using the Trackpad

The integrated two-button trackpad allows for precise navigation and control of your Surface Pro without needing to touch the screen. It functions similarly to a traditional mouse.

3. Magnetic Attachment and Dual-Angle Adjustment

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

2. Battery Care

• Charge the keyboard regularly, especially if it will be stored for an extended period, to maintain battery health.

Troubleshooting

Keyboard Not Responding

• Ensure the keyboard is powered on and fully charged.
• Verify that Bluetooth is enabled on your Surface Pro and the keyboard is paired. If not, re-pair the device as described in the "Bluetooth Pairing" section.
• If the Bluetooth connection drops after waking from sleep, wait a few moments for the connection to re-establish or try toggling Bluetooth off and on on your Surface Pro.
• Restart both your Surface Pro and the keyboard.

Backlight Not Working

• Confirm the keyboard is successfully paired with your Surface Pro. The backlight will not activate until pairing is complete.
• Check the battery level. The backlight automatically turns off when the battery is below 20%. Charge the keyboard if necessary.

Trackpad Issues (e.g., Double Clicking)

• If the trackpad registers double clicks unexpectedly, try tapping lightly instead of pressing firmly for single clicks.
• Ensure your fingers are clean and dry when using the trackpad.
