Wi-Fi Streaming (Hi-Fly App)

The Hi-Fly App is the primary interface for Wi-Fi audio streaming and multi-room control.

  • Streaming Services: The app allows streaming from popular music services like Spotify, TIDAL, Napster, TuneIn, and iHeartRadio.
  • Local Content: Stream music directly from your mobile device or from a home computer/NAS connected to your network.
  • Multi-Room Audio: Group multiple Hi-Fly enabled devices (like other WBA31 units or Dayton Audio Wi-Fi speakers) to play synchronized audio across different rooms. You can also play different songs on different devices.
  • AirPlay/DLNA: The WBA31 is compatible with Apple AirPlay for iOS devices and DLNA for Android devices, allowing direct streaming from compatible applications.

Bluetooth Streaming

Once paired, select "Dayton Audio WBA31" from your device's Bluetooth settings. Audio played on your device will be streamed wirelessly to the WBA31. Use your device's volume controls and the WBA31's remote control for volume adjustment.

AUX Input

Connect an external audio source (e.g., CD player, TV) to the "AUX IN" 3.5mm port on the WBA31 using a 3.5mm audio cable. Switch the WBA31 to AUX mode using the 'M' button. Audio from the connected source will be played through the WBA31's outputs.

Micro SD Playback

Insert a Micro SD card containing audio files into the "MICRO SD" slot on the side of the WBA31. The Hi-Fly app can be used to browse and play content from the Micro SD card. The WBA31 supports lossless audio formats such as WAV, FLAC, APE, and ACC.
