1. Introduction

This high-pressure air filter is designed to efficiently separate oil and water from compressed air, ensuring cleaner air for PCP air rifles and scuba tank filling. Constructed from aerospace aluminum with a gold anodized surface, it offers robust performance and durability.

The filter is compatible with various air pumps and compressors, capable of filtering approximately 90-95% of water and oil, and has successfully passed 50Mpa high-pressure tests. Proper adherence to these instructions will ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of your filter.

4. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to properly set up your TUXING Oil Water Filter:

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all items from the packaging. Verify that all components listed in the 'Included Components' section are present.
2. Inspect Filter Elements: Ensure the internal filter elements (moisture absorber cotton, activated charcoal, molecular sieve, desiccant) are correctly installed within the filter housing. Refer to Figure 2 for correct layering.
3. Connect to Compressor: Attach the M10*1.8mm male connector of the filter to the output port of your air compressor or pump. Ensure the connection is tight and secure.
4. Connect to Air Device: Connect the 8mm or M10*1.8mm female quick connector (soft hose) to your PCP air rifle, scuba tank, or other high-pressure air device.
5. Check for Leaks: Before full operation, perform a low-pressure leak test. Apply a small amount of pressure and listen for hissing sounds or use a soapy water solution to detect bubbles at connection points. Tighten any leaking connections.
6. Orientation: The filter should generally be installed vertically with the air flow direction indicated (if any) or with the inlet at the top to allow gravity to assist in water separation.

5. Operating Instructions

Once the filter is properly installed and all connections are secure, you can begin operation:

1. Start Compressor: Turn on your air compressor or pump according to its manufacturer's instructions.
2. Monitor Pressure: Carefully monitor the pressure gauge on your compressor and the receiving air device to ensure it does not exceed the safe operating pressure.
3. Drain Water/Oil: During and after operation, periodically check the filter for accumulated water and oil. The filter is designed to separate these contaminants. Some models may have a drain valve at the bottom; if so, open it carefully to release accumulated liquids after depressurizing the system.
4. Complete Filling: Once the desired pressure is reached in your air device, turn off the compressor.
5. Depressurize and Disconnect: Safely depressurize the system before disconnecting the filter from the air device and compressor.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and efficiency of your TUXING Oil Water Filter. The filter elements have a lifespan of approximately 40 fills of a 6.8-liter high-pressure gas bottle.

6.1 Filter Element Replacement

The filter includes a free set of filter cotton, which can be recycled. The molecular sieve, activated carbon, and moisture-resistant beads will also need periodic replacement.

1. Depressurize System: Ensure the filter is completely depressurized before attempting any maintenance.
2. Disassemble Filter: Carefully unscrew the ends of the filter housing to access the internal filter cartridge.
3. Remove Old Elements: Remove the used moisture absorber cotton, activated charcoal, molecular sieve, and desiccant. Dispose of them responsibly.
4. Clean Housing: Clean the inside of the filter housing with a clean, dry cloth.
5. Install New Elements: Insert new filter elements in the correct order as shown in Figure 2: moisture absorber cotton, activated charcoal, molecular sieve, and desiccant.
6. Replace O-rings: Inspect the O-rings for wear or damage. Replace them with new ones if necessary to ensure a proper seal.
7. Reassemble Filter: Carefully screw the filter ends back onto the housing, ensuring they are hand-tightened. Do not overtighten.
8. Test for Leaks: After reassembly, perform a leak test as described in the Setup Instructions before resuming full operation.

6.2 General Care

• Keep the exterior of the filter clean and free from dirt and debris.
• Avoid dropping or subjecting the filter to harsh impacts.
