3. Safety Instructions

Please observe the following safety precautions during installation and operation:

  • Ensure all connections are correct and secure before applying power. Incorrect wiring can damage the controller and other components.
  • Always connect the battery first, then the solar panel, and finally the load. Disconnect in the reverse order.
  • Do not exceed the maximum input voltage or current ratings of the controller.
  • Install the controller in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, high temperatures, and moisture.
  • Ensure proper grounding for the entire solar system.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and eye protection during installation.
  • Keep children away from the solar system components.
  • Do not attempt to repair or modify the controller yourself. Contact qualified personnel for service.

4. Installation and Setup

4.1 Mounting the Controller

Mount the charge controller vertically on a non-flammable surface in a dry, well-ventilated indoor location. Ensure there is sufficient clearance around the controller for heat dissipation. Use appropriate screws for mounting through the designated holes.

4.2 Wiring Connections

Follow the connection order precisely to avoid damage to the controller or other components. The recommended cable cross-section is up to 4 mm².

  1. Connect the Battery: Connect the positive and negative terminals of the battery to the corresponding battery terminals on the charge controller. Ensure correct polarity. The controller will automatically detect the system voltage (12V or 24V).
  2. Connect the Solar Panel: Connect the positive and negative terminals of your solar panel(s) to the corresponding PV terminals on the charge controller. Ensure correct polarity.
  3. Connect the DC Load: Connect the positive and negative terminals of your DC load to the corresponding load terminals on the charge controller. Ensure correct polarity.

Important: Always connect the battery first, then the solar panel, and finally the load. Disconnect in the reverse order: load, then solar panel, then battery.
