6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your remote control, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the remote with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as they may damage the surface or internal components.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the remote's responsiveness decreases. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new AAA batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
  • Storage: Store the remote in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If the remote will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.

    • Replace old batteries with fresh AAA batteries.
    • Verify there is a clear line of sight between the remote and your Roku device. Remove any obstructions.
    • Ensure you are pointing the remote directly at the Roku device's IR receiver.
  • Specific Buttons Not Working:

    • If the issue persists after replacing batteries, the remote may be faulty.
