1. Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the CLP Cologne Bar Stool Set. This manual provides essential information for the safe assembly, operation, maintenance, and care of your new bar stools. Please read these instructions carefully before assembly and retain them for future reference.
2. Safety Instructions
- Ensure all parts are present and undamaged before assembly. Do not use if any parts are missing or damaged.
- Assemble the bar stools on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
- Do not overtighten screws during assembly, as this may damage the components.
- Keep children and pets away from the assembly area. Small parts can be a choking hazard.
- Do not stand on the bar stool. It is designed for seating only.
- Regularly check all fasteners to ensure they remain tight.
- Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity (not specified, but generally assume standard adult weight).
3. Package Contents
Your CLP Cologne Bar Stool Set includes the following components for two bar stools:
- 2 x Seat with backrest (Faux Leather)
- 2 x Gas lift cylinder
- 2 x Base plate (Chrome-look metal)
- 2 x Footrest (Chrome-look metal)
- 1 x Set of assembly hardware (screws, washers, Allen key)
4. Assembly Instructions
Follow these steps to assemble each bar stool:
- Step 1: Attach the Footrest to the Gas Lift.
Carefully slide the footrest onto the gas lift cylinder. Ensure it is securely seated and oriented correctly. The footrest typically has a small opening that slides over the gas lift's lower section.

- Step 2: Insert the Gas Lift into the Base.
Place the large circular base plate on a flat, stable surface. Insert the wider end of the gas lift cylinder (with the footrest attached) into the central hole of the base plate. The gas lift should sit firmly in the base.

- Step 3: Attach the Seat to the Gas Lift.
Align the mounting plate on the underside of the seat with the top of the gas lift cylinder. Carefully lower the seat onto the gas lift, ensuring it clicks into place. Some models may require securing with screws from the underside of the seat into the gas lift mechanism. Refer to the specific hardware provided.

- Step 4: Final Check.
Once assembled, gently test the stability of the stool. Ensure all connections are secure and the stool does not wobble. Repeat the process for the second bar stool.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Height Adjustment
The bar stool features a gas lift mechanism for seamless height adjustment. To adjust the height:
- To raise the seat: Lift the lever located under the seat while standing up, allowing the seat to rise to the desired height. Release the lever to lock the height.
- To lower the seat: Lift the lever located under the seat while seated, applying your weight to the seat. The seat will lower. Release the lever to lock the height.
5.2 Swivel Function
The seat of the bar stool can rotate 360 degrees. Simply turn the seat in the desired direction. No lever or button is required for this function.
6. Maintenance and Care
Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your bar stools.
- Faux Leather Upholstery: For light dirt, wipe with a damp cotton cloth moistened with lukewarm water. For more stubborn stains, use a mild soap solution and wipe dry immediately. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Metal Surfaces (Chrome-look): Clean metal surfaces with a mild detergent and a soft cloth. Wipe dry immediately to prevent water spots. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could scratch the finish.
- General: Regularly check all screws and bolts to ensure they are tight. Retighten if necessary.
- Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent material degradation.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Stool wobbles or is unstable. | Loose assembly screws or uneven floor. | Check and tighten all assembly screws. Ensure the stool is on a flat, even surface. |
| Height adjustment not working. | Gas lift lever not fully engaged or gas lift cylinder is faulty. | Ensure the lever is fully pulled up or pushed down. If the issue persists, contact customer support. |
| Squeaking noise during use. | Loose connections or friction between parts. | Check and tighten all screws. A small amount of silicone spray on moving parts (avoiding upholstery) may help. |
