Assembly is required for this fixture. Professional installation is recommended for safety and proper function.

4.1 Pre-Installation

  1. Turn off power: Locate the circuit breaker or fuse box and turn off the power to the junction box where the fixture will be installed.
  2. Prepare the area: Clear the work area and ensure you have all necessary tools (screwdriver, wire strippers, electrical tape, ladder).
  3. Inspect components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and inspect for any damage.

4.2 Mounting the Fixture

  1. Attach mounting plate: Secure the mounting plate to the ceiling junction box using the provided screws. Ensure it is firmly attached.
  2. Adjust chain length: Determine the desired hanging height for your pendant. Open the chain links as needed to adjust the length, then re-secure.
  3. Wire connections:
    • Connect the fixture's ground wire (usually bare copper or green) to the house's ground wire.
    • Connect the fixture's neutral wire (usually white) to the house's neutral wire (white).
    • Connect the fixture's hot wire (usually black) to the house's hot wire (black).
    • Secure all connections with wire nuts and wrap with electrical tape for added safety.
  4. Secure canopy: Carefully push the wired connections into the junction box. Raise the canopy to the ceiling and secure it to the mounting plate using the provided screws.
  5. Install glass shade: Carefully attach the opal glass shade to the fixture according to the specific design.
  6. Install bulbs: Screw in two incandescent bulbs (E26 Medium base, up to 75 watts each, 150 watts total) into the sockets. Do not exceed the maximum wattage.
