2. Product Overview

3. Setup Instructions
3.1 Preparing the Blue Gel Bottle
- Place the Blue Gel Bottle in a freezer for 6-8 hours until completely frozen.
- Ensure the gel bottle is not opened or consumed.
3.2 Preparing the White Emergency Bottle
- Fill the White Emergency Bottle with cold water. Do not use water below 2°C (35.6°F) to prevent freezing of medication.
- Securely tighten the lid.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Assembling the Cooler
- Insert the frozen Blue Gel Bottle into the main cooler unit.
- Place your insulin pens or vials into the cooler, ideally within the provided pen pouch to prevent direct contact with the gel bottle and potential freezing.
- If additional cooling is required, insert the White Emergency Bottle into the cooler.
- Securely close the cooler lid.
4.2 Temperature Monitoring
The cooler is equipped with an integrated thermometer. You can check the internal temperature of the cooler at any time to ensure your medication remains within the desired temperature range (2-8°C or 2-25°C, depending on the cooling method used).

4.3 QR Code Feature
Each DISONCARE cooler features a unique QR code. This code allows you to upload and store important medical information and emergency contacts without requiring an application or subscription. In an emergency, the QR code can be scanned to access this vital information.

4.4 Insulin Pen Compatibility
The cooler is designed to accommodate various insulin pens and vials. Refer to the following charts to determine the quantity of your specific injection pen model that can be stored.

5. Maintenance and Care
5.1 Cleaning
- Wipe the exterior of the cooler with a damp cloth.
- Clean the interior with a mild soap solution and rinse thoroughly.
- Ensure all components are completely dry before reassembly or storage.
- Do not immerse the entire cooler unit in water.
5.2 Storage
- Store the cooler and its components in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Keep the gel bottle and emergency bottle clean and ready for future use.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Cooler Not Maintaining Temperature
- Issue: Medication is not staying cold enough.
- Solution: Ensure the Blue Gel Bottle was frozen for the recommended 6-8 hours. Verify the White Emergency Bottle was filled with sufficiently cold water (not below 2°C). Check that the cooler lid is securely closed.
6.2 Medication Freezing
- Issue: Medication appears to be freezing.
- Solution: Always use the pen pouch to create a buffer between the medication and the frozen gel bottle. Ensure the emergency bottle is filled with cold water, not ice or water below 2°C. Monitor the internal temperature with the thermometer.
