  • To clean the soleplate, iron an old piece of fabric (e.g., a towel) for a few minutes.

4.2 Filling the Water Tank

  1. Ensure the iron is unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. Set the steam control lever to the "Dry Ironing" position (no steam).
  3. Open the water filling inlet cover.
  4. Fill the water tank with clean tap water up to the "MAX" level indicator. Do not overfill.
  5. Close the water filling inlet cover securely.

Note: For optimal performance and to prevent limescale buildup, it is recommended to use demineralized or distilled water, especially in areas with hard water. Do not use perfumed water, water from tumble dryers, or chemically descaled water.

5. Operating the Iron

5.1 Temperature Setting

  1. Plug the iron into a suitable power outlet.
  2. Turn the temperature control dial to the desired setting according to the fabric type. Refer to the garment's care label.
  3. The indicator light will illuminate, indicating the iron is heating up. It will turn off when the set temperature is reached.

5.2 Dry Ironing

For dry ironing, ensure the steam control lever is set to the "Dry Ironing" position (no steam). Iron the fabric as usual.

5.3 Steam Ironing

Steam ironing is suitable for most fabrics, except very delicate ones. Ensure the water tank is filled and the iron has reached the appropriate temperature (usually indicated by 2 or 3 dots on the temperature dial).

  1. Once the iron has reached the desired temperature, move the steam control lever to the desired steam setting.
  2. Begin ironing. The iron will automatically produce steam.

5.4 Vertical Steaming

The iron can be used for vertical steaming of hanging garments or curtains. Hold the iron vertically a few centimeters away from the fabric and press the steam boost button (if available) intermittently.

5.5 Spray Function

Press the spray button to moisten stubborn creases. Ensure the water tank contains water.

6. Maintenance and Storage

6.1 Cleaning the Iron

  • Always unplug the iron and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior of the iron with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Clean the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner if necessary. Avoid scratching the soleplate.

6.2 Descaling (Self-Clean Function)

To maintain optimal steam performance and prevent limescale buildup, use the self-clean function regularly (e.g., once a month, depending on water hardness).

  1. Fill the water tank to the MAX level.
  2. Set the steam control to "Dry Ironing" and the temperature dial to maximum.
  3. Plug in the iron and wait for the indicator light to go out.
  4. Unplug the iron.
  5. Hold the iron horizontally over a sink. Press and hold the self-clean button (if available) or rapidly move the steam control lever to the maximum steam position. Hot water and steam will be expelled from the soleplate, carrying limescale particles.
  6. Shake the iron gently until the water tank is empty.
  7. Plug the iron back in and let it heat up to dry the soleplate.
  8. Unplug and let it cool completely before storing.

6.3 Storage

  • Ensure the iron is completely cool and empty the water tank before storing.
  • Wrap the power cord neatly around the cord wrap area (if available).
  • Store the iron upright on its heel rest in a safe, dry place.
