  • Ensure proper ventilation around the speakers to prevent overheating.
  • Use only the provided power adapter and cables.

4. Installation

4.1 Mounting the Speakers

The speakers feature versatile swivel brackets for flexible placement. These brackets allow for a 120-degree range of motion, and the speaker face can rotate up to 90 degrees, enabling precise sound direction.

  1. Select a suitable mounting location on a wall or ceiling. Ensure the surface can support the weight of the speakers.
  2. Attach the mounting brackets to the desired surface using appropriate hardware (not included, depending on surface type).
  3. Align the speakers with the installed brackets and click them into place using the speed-lock system.
  4. Adjust the speaker angle for optimal sound coverage and tighten the bracket screws to secure the position.

4.2 Wiring Connections

The system includes one active speaker and one passive speaker. The active speaker connects to the power adapter and your audio source via Bluetooth, and then powers the passive speaker.

  1. Connect the provided speaker wire to the terminals on the back of the active speaker. Ensure correct polarity (red to red, black to black).
  2. Connect the other end of the speaker wire to the terminals on the back of the passive speaker, maintaining correct polarity.
  3. Connect the 12V DC power cable to the active speaker's power input.
  4. Plug the 120V-240V power adapter into a suitable electrical outlet. Important: Ensure the power adapter is protected from weather elements, as it is not waterproof.

5. Bluetooth Setup

To connect your device to the Herdio speakers via Bluetooth:

  1. Ensure the speakers are powered on.
  2. Activate Bluetooth on your smartphone, tablet, or other compatible device.
  3. Search for available Bluetooth devices. The speakers should appear as "Herdio" or a similar identifier.
  4. Select the speaker name to pair. A confirmation sound may indicate successful pairing.

Note: These speakers do not feature a dedicated Bluetooth pairing button. The last connected device will automatically attempt to reconnect when the speakers are powered on. To connect a new device, the previously connected device must disconnect from the speakers.

Once paired, you can control audio playback and volume directly from your connected Bluetooth device. The speakers do not have an integrated on/off switch or volume controls. To power off the speakers, you must disconnect them from the power source.

7. Care and Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

Wipe the speaker enclosures with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the finish or internal components.

7.2 Weather Resistance

The Herdio outdoor speakers are designed with a UV-resistant resin and ABS enclosure to protect them from elements. While they are rated as waterproof, it is recommended to install them under an awning or in a sheltered area to prolong their lifespan and prevent potential issues from prolonged direct exposure to heavy rain or extreme weather conditions. Ensure the power adapter is always protected from moisture.
